She goes on tangents and doesn't giver herself and accurate timeline of how long thereading discussions will take. Because of this she just shoves like 3 or 4 assignments into a two day period which is super stressful. As a person she's fine but genuinely she is not a good professor. Also we had to read 60 page spanish chapters in two days. Not fun

Iride is a very passionate teacher. I would highly recommend any of her classes. She is a nice lady who expects a lot from her students. You get to read some plays and some articles and discuss them in class. There's a whole lot of speaking, since that's what this class in specific focuses on. Take her, it's your best option.

Cool professor! Likes to make the class entertaining by getting students to participate practicing spanish even if they don't want to do so. Her reactions to spanish meanings are cool too. HW and quizzes come directly from the textbook and online assignments linked together. Her style flows very well with the material being taught.

Finally a professor with a personality! She spiced up every class by being theatrical and by making everyone smile and laugh. Even if your Spanish skills aren't the best, she makes an effort to help you out. The only negative is that she can be a bit feisty at times!

Extremely passionate, and loves Spanish and spanish culture which is really wonderful. She is theatrical and keeps you involved and interested. We read the most boring book but with her teaching everything was so fascinating. Only thing, she's a tough grader and can be really sarcastic and condescending.

A wonderful woman with a passion of Spanish. She has a great knowledge of the culture of Spanish-speaking countries, as well. You should know your stuff before taking this class though. Tough grader, but it helps you in the long run. An excellent professor.

While I'd concede that she has a passion for it, she is at times irrational and ****y, and has on more than one occassion given her students rude glares. My cumulative average should have come to an B+, but she gave me a B. She grades unfairly, has an overpowering personality, and other teachers could achieve the same results with less sarcasm

Her passion for Hispanic Literature is contagious and extremely attractive. I TOTALLY recommend her. She is brlliant and beautiful and kind and funny. The tests and papers are a bit challenging, but once you get the hang of them, an A is very achievable. TAKE HER.

She is very goog prof. but don't be fool by her good rating, she gives some hard ass quizzes and make you remember 1000 vocab. Unless you want to really learn spanish, Stay away from her. Her could not even call my name. she grade very hard.

i took her for spa102 over the summer, just trying to finish up my language requirement, but then she inspired me to keep studying. you're forced to learn with her because you have to participate. she knows so much interesting cultural stuff, brings in fun foreign music, photos from trips, she's a great professor. hope to take her again.
