Im not sure what this person below me is saying but he is definitely the one professor in all of SJU that gave me the hardest time. I go an A in all 3 chem classes but could barely get the C for this class. He is not helpful and he does not curve. Good luck if you cant switch out, my anxiety started from his class.

Im going to be straight up with you. Laucam is hard. But I got an A. Was it easy? no. I had to study maybe 2 hours per test, which is twice as much as I normally study. But prof laucam is super accessible outside of class. You dont need to go to class cause its all slides anyway. He curves you a lot now, so most people pass with B or higher.

He is the worst professor for Biochem. His lectures are full of mistakes and he also makes errors when grading tests. His tests are very detail-oriented, so know every picture the slides, because there are barely any words. If you can, DO NOT TAKE HIM.

It's important to understand that the university uses him to weed out students. If you complain to them, they won't listen because they want him to fail students so the program isn't too saturated. The best advice if you have him, and take this from a student with a near perfect GPA, try to survive. Do your best to try and survive. Go for the C.

Grade is based on three exams. Must attend the class for the notes even though class is extremely disorganized. He makes a ton of mistakes on the exams, answer key, and on calculating your final grade. He gets mad when you ask questions in class. Has a terrible grading method on calculating your grade. NO CURVE. memorize everything including pics.

The reviews don't have enough space to explain how bad he is. I'm sure he's not a bad person (even though he gets upset at people pointing out errors in his exams) but I don't know how he's licensed to teach. I don't understand how he won't even at least use a textbook for people to learn from. This is not an exaggeration, drop the class ASAP.

He's the worst sju has to offer. Tests are extremely difficult and more than half the class fails barely any curve given. Very rude as well. Drop the class immediately.

Cannot teach and tests are impossible. No words can describe how horrible his teaching and exams are. There is no way to pass his class no matter how hard you try. Rude personality. Tests are all based on the slides but test questions may come from the fine prints. SWITCH OUT OR WITHDRAW IF POSSIBLE!!

If you can avoid his class, AVOID. I can't stress how important it is to memorize the information in his slides. All the little things. What I've realized is that you don't need to understand how anything works. It's a waste of time. If you can choose between going to class and making some flash cards to memorize the slides, memorize the slides.

Horrible! You won't pass no matter how hard you try. Tests have nothing to do with the minimal, unorganized slides he gives. More than half of the class always fails his three tests. Barely any curve is given even if it means half the class failing the course.

I can't understand how he is allowed to teach. He does so much that is not only against the unversity's guidelines, but is illegal. He tells other students your grades and changes the final exam schedule to suit him, which he is not allowed to do. He's the worst sju has to offer, and he just simply and truly does not care.

I will never forget this man. His class was the worst experience I ever had. I thought people were just exaggerating, but it was worse than I thought. The majority of students failed all the exams. There is just too much to say about this so I'll wrap it up by saying: do not take his class. It will be the most stressful class you will ever take.

This professor was one of the worst professors Ive ever had at SJU. He is completely unorganized, doesnt assign any homework. No quizes . Only two tests that are extremely difficult and almost impossible to pass because of lack of material. Switch out of this class immediately, dont wait like I did.

For D&D Skin Medchem, memorize the structures of each drug. Yes, it's impossible but you need to try. Make flash cards. For example, beta blockers will have a common structure, but then think of something creative to differentiate between the individual drugs. Know MOA and uses. Ignore products, strengths, dosages.
