Honestly such an interesting class! Lectures are asynchronous however going over them is important for the quizzes! All the quizzes are 10 questions with only 10 minutes so make sure you take good notes from lecture & study the power points! Overall an easy upper division GE requirement.

Do not take his class online, especialy if you don't do well in timed quizzes. Victor doesn't care about your circumstances! People celebrated because he gave us an extra five minutes on the final for a forty minute forty question test. The curriculum just screamed lazy and disappointment

The easiest and most straight forward professor and class ever. His lectures and amazing, but they are dense and a bit slow. I recommend watching them in 2x speed. We had 10 quizzes, 2 of which were dropped, one essay, and one easy final (which had the same questions as the quizzes). Easy class, just make sure to watch all of his videos!

Camp is very nice and knowledgeable on the subject, but his lectures are boring! The course material being interesting was what saved me. His quizzes are somewhat detailed, but it was all manageable.

You don't attend university and spend thousands for lazy teaching, and students shouldn't have to settle for 3 hour lectures, 10 question quizzes and no help at all. What is so awesome about that? Nothing.

You'll be taking quizzes on each chapter. To ensure no cheating you won't be able to go back on a question you've answered and you only get one minute per question. For example quizzes: 10 questions, 10 minutes. Questions are pulled from a bank at random! He records all the lectures & also has ppt slides if you would prefer that to study.

Asynchronous class. Your grade is based on 10 quizzes which are timed for 10 minutes. The video lectures are 3 hours long so you are expected to remember a lot of info for 10 questions. Same deal with the final exam which was 45 min with 40 questions with no study guide. Don't take this class. Save yourself the grief.

The final was awful. Only 45 minutes for a 40 question final. I rushed the last 10 minutes and received a B. Not at all satisfied and I was so stressed out and under pressure due to the time limit

You'd be lying to yourself if you said you actually remembered majority of this stuff this guy taught you. Oh wait, we only see him through pre-recorded lectures. Prime example of a lazy online professor!

One of the laziest online professors I ever had the misfortune of taking. Save your gpa and take another science class because as the previews reviews have stated, he really does not care because he's more concerned about people cheating in his tests (can't even find his questions online anyway?)

I think he is a decent lecturer. However, considering the current circumstances, all that lecture material compressed into 10 minutes, 10 question quizzes is very difficult. We do not even get to see what questions we got right or wrong on the quizzes. The final is 40 questions, 40 minutes with no type of study guide and is cumulative. Don't take!

This guy doesn't care about you or your struggles. He's passionate, but his paranoia of preventing cheating is just making this class difficult for students. We have no guidance. Don't take.

A cumulative final with 40 questions and a 40 minute time limit? Do you just really not care about your students?

You'll be more concerned about getting and keeping an A than actually learning anything. 10 minute quizzes with a 10 minute time limit isn't going to cut it, Victor. This class is a joke and makes me not want to take up geology again.

The crazy thing is that it really is not a hard class yet Victor makes it that way due to the way he set this class up. 10 MIN time limit on quizzes? How can a class have lecture hours from 1230-145 yet you only have 10 min to take a quiz thats based off of 3+ hours of lectures. I dont even think Victor knows what he is doing himself. Dont take

Very disappointed in this class. With everything going on in the world you would think this class would be fine to take. Not the case here. Victor, how does it feel that your whole curriculum is disappointing? 3+ hours of lectures for 10 min 10 question quiz. No time to think. 40 question final 40 MIN. Are you out of your mind or just dont care?

Nice guy but don't take this class online. 50 pages worth of notes. Videos of lectures and PP slides, quizzes are 10 questions timed for 10 minutes, one paper and you'll still struggle to get a decent grade. Don't expect extra credit or any help. No study guide for the final exam either.

Online class is a massive chore where you are expected to learn 50 slides worth of information which is then condensed into a 10 question quiz, 1 minute per question. No extra credit either. Disappointed

Quizzes consist of 10 questions giving you a minute to answer each. Writing assignment was vague. Would not recommend for online learning.
