I think he goes through the lectures to fast, its to the point were I can hardly even keep up. I would read the textbooks for a little bit more of an insight but I cant see it being a have to, unless its for the bi-weekly tutorials.

An INSANE amount of reading, especially if you're taking English as well. His lectures are so fast and often over complicated, but I think he's honestly just too smart for a lot of kids. He uses complex language and talks about things as if we've studied the french revolution our whole lives. Tutorials mandatory and so much preparation

Great prof! Extremely funny, especially in tutorial settings. You can easily do well if you put in the work and read the books. Tests are predictable. Would absolutely recommend.

Wilson was awesome. He was really funny and I felt bad that most people usually missed his jokes. He really knows his stuff and you can tell he loves teaching it. Definitely do the readings and attend your tutorials and you will do great! I can't wait to take more of his classes.

You can tell he's passionate about what he's teaching &that he really knows his stuff. He's super funny although a lot of the time you miss his jokes as they are dry & often under his breath. Believe him when he tells you how important the books and readings are. He outlined the midterm really well and if you study and follow along you'll do great!

Lectures were very long and boring. Wilson goes over material too quickly!! Mid term was extremely difficult-- super specific even though he does not provide an outline.

Quite friendly, not intimidating, has a tendency to ramble in lectures. GET NOTES BEFORE CLASS, otherwise he'll be explaining them as you try to copy, and you'll miss helpful (read: most) info. Notes usually posted, but in point form and only make sense if you show up to lecture. Long papers but with helpful feedback. Dry, under-his-breath humour.

Wilson is one of my favorite profs at Mount Allison University. He is very intelligent. Although his lower year lectures can be somewhat dry, I highly recommend his upper year courses.

One of My favorite history teachers! His lectures are straight forward and outlined perfectly. My only complaint is he can be a little dry at times, but his teaching style is perfect for all years of university- Really Nice man super approachable

Only two complaints: sometimes he speaks too quickly in lectures, and the reading assigned for Tutorials is excessive in my opinion. Other than that, he's a really nice man and good Prof. Provides great feedback on assignments. I really enjoyed the class.

Lectures at a good speed, never breaks from this pacing. Only uses Moodle to post lecture notes (ppt is not posted), all work is submitted on paper and in person. Mandatory tutorial. Fair work load, moderate marker. Material can be dry. Easy to talk to after class.

Wilson is wicked, especially when you get up to the fourth-year seminars. Super nice and helpful and definitely hilarious (doesn't even break lecture stride!) Knows his stuff and gets super excited when you know it too :)

A lot of people seem to think he's boring but I like his lectures and I love the way he slips in subtle jokes with no comedic pause or anything. It's hilarious. Everyone should at least give him a second chance because he's a lot better in upper year classes, especially in seminars.

Wilson's a nice enough guy, but his lecture style is incredibly dull and dry. It's very difficult to pay attention in class. He is very approachable, however, so if you are having trouble or want help with something, he doesn't mind seeing you. Try to see him in person though, it takes him forever to respond to e-mails!

Didn't really enjoy the lectures so much... and the seminars at time could use a little kick-start to get the discussion going. However, really knows his stuff, a good personality and really helpful if you talk to him. Would recommend. Also a fair marker who provides lots of useful feedback.

I will give him a break as this class was a 2nd year class converted into a 1st year class. but would go off on tangents and tell stories, which were not useful when it came down to exams! the tutorial sessions though were wonderful.
