I've taken multiple courses with Torrance and if you do the work you will pass. He gives great feedback lets you pick whatever essay topic you want, within reason, and grades generously. He seems to prefer the student does the essay question of midterms rather than ID's though.

I continued to take Torrance's classes after I no longer needed history credits because he is an amazing professor. We all ended the seminar feeling like friends rather than student and prof. He is an amazing, kinetic lecturer and your learning is important to him. He expects good work but does good teaching. Go to class and you'll pass.

Dr. Torrance is adorable. He's approachable and sweet. His lectures can be a little boring, but he's super animated about it and fun to watch. His tests are straight forward and he won't blindside you, either. He's super chill and fun. He also wears the cutest cardigan and bucket hat duo you'll ever see.

The cutest man you'll ever meet. His passion about history is amazing. If you're not a good history student, buy the text, if you are then don't bother, wikipedia works wonders. His grading can be difficult though if you're not a gifted writer. He gives exam questions in advance so students can prepare, which is very helpful. Overall, amazing prof

Have had him for several courses....very friendly, very interesting, very smart, and knows all his students! His exam/midterm questions are challenging but you usually get them beforehand so there are no surprises. He does like to put people on the spot, esp. if you've had a class with him before. Definately recommend him!

So cute. I just want to pinch him. A little bit disorganized but his pleasent manner and eagerness to help everyone do well makes up for it. He reminds me of Prof. Flitwick in Harry Potter. Quite an easy class, I show up just because he is adorable though.
