Dr Hawk is one of the most passionate and respected teachers Ive had. His lectures are so thought provoking and interesting. Make sure to take advantage and feedback from his teaching assistant because the essays are very specific. Overall good class.

Dr. Hawk is amazing professor, he is so kind and inspiring. He is very passionate about philosophy and makes "boring" material very interesting. He even hosted a final exam-review at his house with pizza and drinks. He lectures every class and there are quick 5-10 question quizzes every Monday about the lecture material (easy A). Easy & interesting

Dr. Hawk is an incredible and inspiring man. He deeply cares for his students which you can see especially during a review session for final exam held at his home. The lectures can get boring but overall discussions are fun interesting and its an easy class

This class is awesome!!! Dr. Hawk is really into Philosophy and it makes the class more enjoyable and easier! Two main papers, quizzes every Monday (lowest three get dropped), group presentation, video project, and final!!

Dr. Hawk was a very engaging and respectable professor. He thoroughly explains all of the information presented in class and makes sure all students know what it required of them. He is willing to meet with you after class if you need extra help, and he understands personal matters come up and may interfere with class. LOVE the class material!

Amazing teacher! He's legally blind but never lets that stop him. Show up and you'll do well. Weekly five-question quizzes on lecture material, a few one-three page paper essays, a video project, and the final. He makes ethical reasoning understandable and interesting.

TAKE THIS CLASS. He is such a genuine professor and truly cares about what he is teaching, and he makes the concepts easy to grasp. There isn't a lot of extra work, a couple papers, quizzes, group project, and a final. He is a super great teacher. I would definitely take a class with him again .

Interesting class by an even more interesting professor! Teaches you about ethics and life. He is legally blind and is truly inspirational with all that he accomplishes, you should take this class if ethics is at all interesting to you! Not very rigorous, only short papers and a final... show up and you will do well!

Lectures almost every class. A couple one pagers. He's good at explaining concepts, it's just dry for a 9am. 1-2 10 pt quizzes a week (12 total for semester). He grades fairly. A bit late on returning analytic paper grade, but overall a really solid choice. No homework! Readings are assigned but aren't necessary. Take him because he is very chill.

Dr Hawk is one of my favorite professors. He is very knowledgable and cares a lot about his students. He explains concepts well and is a relaxed grader on the 2 papers and 2 projects you do. Awesome professor! Wasn't sure what to expect out of the class but he teaches the material well and offers extra credit. Final exam is the only test, only other grades are 2 papers that are graded by your peers as well as a video and group presentation.

Prof. Hawk is a great guy. Super passionate about his teaching. He understands everything very well and makes a great effort to explain things. Only a few assignments, 2 papers you read in front of small groups, a video, and a group presentation. He does take attendance. Very caring and makes a great effort to get to know his students.

Hawk is amazing! Interesting class, a fair amount of outside work (a few readings, a couple group projects, and 2 papers). He is a fair grader and an awesome professor overall! Especially for a gen ed this was by far one of my favorite classes this semester!
