I took this class online and you have to be on your game every week not too get behind. He is extremely understanding if something comes up. There are 3 huge outside projects that need to be done but it gave me real world examples instead of just going to a class. He makes you work for your grade but it was worth it.

Olson has a lot of homework but he's always fair about it. He does his best to work around your schedule; if you're sick or have an emergency, he's very understanding. His tests aren't too hard, as long as you show up to the lectures; he rarely tests out of the book. He doesn't use Canvas, but he explains why at the start of the semester.

Floyd's lectures are difficult to follow at times and his tests aren't too difficult so long as you do the reading and attend class every day. He will take the time to answer any questions you may have before, during and after class, even if they may be stupid ones. Overall he's a good instructor, but has room for improvement.

The lectures we had really had no "meat" in them. I felt like he had never read the textbook and that he had never prepared a lesson for this class. Easy A, but wasn't worth the money paid for the class.

Great instructor and fun class. One of the best professors I've had at UVU and he understands how college should be. treats you like a real person and will work with you on the assignments. They aren't that hard and the test are common sense. Take his class.

If you can make it through the first couple of classes, you will like him. Floyd is a very tough teacher. There is a lot of work to do. He does not grade the assignments hard, but the tests are not very easy. 1/3ea: T/F, Multiple Choice, Short Answer. He really wants you to succeed and will help you.

He's a nice guy. His lectures were hard to follow sometimes. We never use the textbook in class but he put on the syllabus what chapters we should read for each day. He gives 3 exams and 5 projects. He gave us a sheet of 12 projects for us to choose 5 from. He gets everyone involved in his lectures and for 7 min we had to present a final project.

If you want to learn about the real management world TAKE HIM.I took safety and materials classes from him and learned a lot.He requires a lot of work but not hard.Whatever you turn in is full credit.If you're having trouble with deadlines TALK to him.He looks serious,but very funny,educated, understanding, and the most helpful teacher i had at UVU

He is a great teacher who really cares about his students. His classes are a lot of work, but he is sympathetic and if you nag him he will move deadlines. I would recommend him anytime and if you really want to learn Floyd is the best UVU has to offer.

Floyd is very unconventional, but once you get passed pre-conceived notions, he's an amazing teacher! I wish I had taken more classes from him. Show up, do the work (yes there's a lot of it, but easy to do), pay attention and you'll do well. I took another marketing class & had to do just as much work, still less than the real world "people".

Class requires alot of work and a huge marketing plan. Floyd comes off as a scary teacher but he really isnt. One of the only teachers that really cares about you and will help you any way he can. Didnt care for the class but really like Floyd.

Great professor overall, one of the ones I still remember. Sets you up to succeed although it was hard landing a real job after graduation, but that's a different story. He was a very experienced teacher. Recommend him everytime if you really want to learn stuff.

FLoyd is quite a character but he brings interesting points during lectures. If you miss class 10+ times you fail, lots of homework but easy. His tests are kinda confusing tho.

Didn't really learn much about marketing. Floyd's requirements for the marketing plan were very strict, but since he doesn't read everyone's marketing plan you can pretty much B.S. your way through it. I did and I got an A.

Floyd is an interesting guy. At the first of the class I think he tries to scare you a little into dropping the class. His class will require a lot of "busy" homework and a huge marketing plan project. His tests are a bit tricky, and you will be lucky to do well on them. If you do all of your work, read and study, you should be ok.
