I can't complain too much, but this was definitely a very stressful class for me. I took it online. The lectures uploaded were really poor (done by the Grad Assistant), basically reading bits and pieces of the textbook to you. I do have to say that my grade percentage was really an A-, and I was given an A+ so the grading ambiguity is stressful.

Professor Lima is the best professor I have ever had by far. I had him for the Fall 2019 semester and looked forward to every lecture. Some of the material is challenging but he gives clear expectations. There is a quiz each week over that weeks material and non-cumulative exams that make up the grade. I would definitely recommend.

In this class, we did one chapter reading each week, plus a worksheet and quiz. It isn't hard, and if you do have any questions Dr Lima is readily available by email to help. Gives great feedback, and exams are a breeze.

Love, love, love this man! You take notes everyday, but you never have homework. His tests are made to be difficult, but if you study you will do fine. However, when I say study... I mean, studying your notes every night before the weekly quiz and the exam. You wont pass studying the night before. Overall, great class and amazing professor.

Steven Lima was a great professor who truly wants his students to succeed, even though is class can be really hard and challenging. If you take good notes and study them well, you can pass but be aware that your grade is made up solely on test. Professor Lima is funny and makes the topics fun to learn.

Dr. Lima is a cool, funny guy. The class is enjoyable even though there's a good amount of material. Every test has 10 bonus points worked into it- really buffers your grade. Study the power points, DON'T buy the book.

I took Dr. Lima for Biology 101. In order to be successful in this class, you must study his notes and powerpoints. I originally tried just putting his notes on flashcards, but THAT WILL NOT GET YOU AN A!!! You literally have to rewrite your notes. Attendance will be helpful and there is EC throughout the course. Tough, but a good teacher.

I love Professor Lima. He has a great sense of humor and makes lecture fun. I actually look forward to going to his class! You will take a lot of notes, but there are only four test the whole semester. There are also no midterm or final.

Dr. Lima is an excellent biology professor for BIO 101. Class is an easy A. There are 4 exams and weekly quizzes that are very easy, you just have to study obviously. If you see that the book for this course is "recommended", it's not. Don't waste your money on it. I did not open the book once and got an A in the course.

This is the best professor I have ever had. Lima is definitely recommended. I love the way he teaches, and he is hilarious. It's almost impossible to not pass his class. No homework!

Lima is a great professor. He is funny and makes his lectures interesting. However, I would not recommend skipping a lecture at all. Quizzes are every friday, unless there is an exam. Extra credit is put in every quiz and exam.

Absolutely one of my favorite profs. The class was extremely lecture heavy, but he does a good job making it interesting. All of his examples are bird related because he is obsessed with birds, and when he gets excited about a topic his vocal infection goes up. He is by far the coolest science prof I've had.

Lima's Bio 101 is full of information, but if you study you will get the A. He offers 1 bonus point on his 10 point quizzes and 10 bonus points on all 4 of the 100 point Exams. He tries to be comical (Ex. he related some of the species in his class to spongebob). Matched first exam grade for second exam grade, but I didn't need it.

I took ornithology with Lima. He is the coolest professor I've ever had! His class was fascinating. I would definitely recommend it, even if it is a bit difficult. There is a lot of memorization.

Dr. Lima is an amazing professor. He gives good lectures which cover all the material you will need for the tests. He's funny too! So you end up remembering a lot of the material just from his jokes. That being said, you need to make time to study your notes. That's the only way to do well on the tests.

This class isn't easy by any means, but it's not because of Lima. He's very enthusiastic about this class and will work with you if you need to make anything up. The only problem is all of your points come from tests and quizzes there is no homework to save your grade.
