I love PHL so I may be biased as far as PHL classes go. Hauser is an all around great guy. His classes were very interesting. I would have taken more if I could. They weren't extremely difficult but you got out of it what you wanted (it's your money). Still hasn't been able to tell me why evil exists, though -_-. Hope he's enjoying his retirement.

I loved Dr. Hauser. If you are passionate and care, that will show. History classes were harder than (and not as fun as) the others. Most passionate about cog sci. Eccentric, but he loves the subject matter.

Not a great teacher, lacks in some areas. Book is long and boring (with no pictures for 50 pages). "Debates" are fun, online participation is really easy-best way to get over 100% on participation. Not big grade booster, but it helps a lot. Strange teacher and probably really boring with notes coming from the internet. one word: HIGHLIGHTER!!!

The class is really easy extremely boring. The hard part is the midterm and final, they are graded on memorizing about 200 quotes. Then he picks 50 for the exam, that's the only difficult part. Don't have to show up to class to get an A.

well the music is good, but as far as the other 85 minutes of the class goes time could be better spend doing something that matter in life, although i have caught some very good cat naps

He reads his lecture notes which are online. Don't bother reading the book because everything is on the lecture notes. Not very helpful when I stopped by his office. Class was fun when we got to the debate part after midterm, but before that it was boring and mundane.

This is one of the easiest classes I've ever taken. I fell asleep every day and got over 100% in the class just for showing up. Shame on him for being the most unprepared, boring, easy, no-effort teacher ever. Although he is a really nice man, I didn't learn squat.

In high school it was ok to have a crappy teacher, it was free. Now that my money is concerned, and I have to take this class, I'd prefer it if I actually learned something. Philosophy classes are supposed to make you want to think, not sleep.

Loved my ethics class with Dr. Hauser. He uderstands when you get passionate in a debate, because he has a tendency to do the same. I took philosophy as a distributive, and I am glad I did.
