The professor seems nice, It's tons of reading and the assignment due at the end of week is a lot of work and time consuming. After being stressed on my third day of class I just dropped it. This is not an easy a I would recommend for someone who's going into this field and who may not be taking several classes at once bc it is a lot.

Lots of quizzes, but lots of extra credit. You're only graded on two things: Exams (75%) and Quizzes (25%). So you NEED to do well on them. However, he gives loads of opportunities for extra credit which helps a ton and a lot of study resources. He was helpful and answered my emails quickly. Did not have to take any tests on campus. Overall easy.

PLEASE do yourself a favor and read all the posts!! This guy has to be the WORST teacher ever!! The study guide, and lectures have absolutely NOTHING to do with what's on the weekly quizzes. You would think that its a totally different quiz . He doesn't seem helpful at all either to assist when you advise the issue with the study guide.

He was always very quick to respond to questions and emails and take immediate action, when necessary. I took the class as a 6-week course (my faux-pas). But we had two quizzes every week, sometimes 3. All timed tightly. 3-exams, 75-?'s, 80-mins. But we had to cover 5-chapters over last week in semester! Overall, extremely difficult class!

Professor McAdam is terrible. I took him last semester and it was a terrible experience for my first semester. If you ask him for help he'll answer your emails about it but he'll beat around the bush. The assignments are also long and confusing. Would not recommend.

Took this because i thought it would be interesting but its not an easy A. He just gives you too much material to study. There are videos, power points, and the book. The tests are timed but you don't have much time,75 questions in 80 minutes? You really have to read and study for this class, i don't think its for beginners. Not many assignments.

This is not an intro level class. Do not take unless you plan on going into this area. Not an easy A.

Took this as an online course. My main complain was that the weekly quizzes and the three tests had such a small time limit that it left you feeling in a panic. A lot of reading and seemed like what you read was not on the tests and quizzes. There was a weekly chapter to read, summary to write and quiz to take. Three online tests total.

I took an on-line class with him. The book was easy to read, videos were easy, homework articles were simple enough. I did the extra credit which landed me a C in the class. The most frustrating part was the tests, they confusing and difficult. Writing the professor did no good, when you did get a reply it seemed snarky.

Not really sure what I can say about this class... The quizzes and exams were really the worst part of the course. The questions were incredibly vague, the answers sometimes consisted of incomplete sentences... Avoid this class if possible. Just didn't feel organized. The professor can help, but this isn't a first choice class..

I was SO excited for Meterology. But when I got this profressor, I should have dropped it. He's not a terrible teacher, he just fails to find an interesting way to relate to the material. He puts your right to sleep. It's a good thing he's willing to answer questions.

Its a college science class with a lab so its not going to be easy. If you like earth science then its a pretty interesting class. Teacher is super nice if you just put in some effort.

I was really looking forward to this class even though it is not required for Biology majors. I almost always get a D whether I study or not, so why bother trying? The book will not help you with the quizzes and neither will his 'review' slides. He is not good at responding to emails or updating SAKAI. Please heed these warnings!

Heed all the warnings. I did not know about this page until it was too late. Save yourself, run, extend an extra semester but whatever you do stay away from this class.

Professor is not helpful at all. chapter quizzes online don't reflect material in lectures, and half the time, if you look up the answer in the book, he says it's wrong. often puts class to sleep during powerpoints. def. not a class about whales & dolphins. textbooks are needed to take online quizzes, if you want a chance of even passing the class

Don't waste your time or money taking this class to fill a Science requirement! This is the worst class I've ever taken! The weekly lectures don't correspond with the bi-weekly quiz. He forms the unit test as questions as scenario's. Register at your own risk..his help is non-existent. He does know his material but educates & communicates poorly.

You know all those posts that say don't take this class, LISTEN TO THEM. I almost failed this class doing all the work, but by miracle I made a B in the end. He is horrible at teaching and explaining things, and puts things on the test that aren't covered in any of the material you study prior to the exam. Stay far away from this class.

Oh my gosh..this class give me nightmares, especially when I don't like science. I thought that from all the science classes besides biology this one will be the easier one, and I was wrong. I took it online and by a miracle of God I managed a C, but I used to study almost everyday and the time was not enough. The reviews was not helpful at all.

I took this course online. It really is not that difficult if you do the work. Prof. McAdam is available for questions, but like I said, the text is very clear, and his videos are helpful. This was, by far, the most organized online course through ANGEL, which is stress-reducing for the student.
