He asks alot of big questions and expects you to take the time to think about them, form an opinion and back it up with reading material. It's hard to **** in his classes without him knowing. If you're looking for a good class, interesting material, and someone who's truly interested in this material then take a class with Freeman.

Really boring class, lots of readings; Freemoney is very into himself, very dramatic lectures. Wanted to poke my eyes out everytime he mentioned "the good." Pretty easy though, not helpful during office hours; discussion groups were fun.

Worst class ever. It is boring, not interesting, and a bad idea for philo req. He is condescending and an ass. Not fun! We talk about the Holocaust a lot, and I would rather be in that than in his class again. Very painful! NOT GOOD!

Verynboring with a lot of reading. He is a ridiculously tough grader on papers. The class is pretty much him just standing in front of the class asking questions. It is very boring. You often wonder what the hell the class is even about. In his office hours he is even more vague with you. Pretty much a waste of a class. Don't take for common req!

The reading is almost unbearable when added to all of the other work.He lectures all class which is helpful in understanding the readings.Weekly 2pg single space papers, and 2 long papers(12-14 pgs).He dwells a lot on grammar even though it is not an english class, and thus is a hard grader. However, interesting material and hes always avaliable.

This class is a lot of reading, most of it is interesting. However, he just lectures all you read back to you during class. It is long and boring sometimes but it may be less painful than another phil. requirement

Okay, he's a nice guy, but if you want a class where you will actually LEARN something, don't take Human Nature, Ethics, and Society. I learned a lot from the readings (which are interesting) but nothing at all from his lectures. He is overly theatrical and vague, and it gets annoying. But again, good guy and he's always ready to help you.

I went into this class thinking it was going to be incredibly boring. He and Prof. Futterman made the class SO interesting! Going to his office hours can be very helpful, too...for assignments, or even just to figure out life. He's a great mentor and teacher.

Awesome guy, came to him the morning the final paper was due with nothing but ideas, he totally helped me sort it all out. I ended up with an A and a comment that said "Wasn't sure you could pull this off, congrats" Very chill.

I took the Human Nature, Ethics, and Society course, thought he was a great teacher and was very helpful. He does, however, push his students to work hard on papers.
