Comment:
He's an okay professor. Doesn't know the programs, but at this point most students probably will. Ask for clarification every time you don't get something. You'll really want to get lots of footage in the exercises so that you have a lot to burn for the final project.

Intro to Cinematic Arts? More like Intro to 80s Video Art and literally nothing else. He needs to update his curriculum. He doesn't know how to use the software required for class and he didn't teach us anything useful. None of the projects are portfolio worthy except maybe the final. This class felt like a waste of time.

Comment:
You know those people who criticize filmmakers/video artists for being pretentious and self-absorbed? Grabil is one of the reasons that happens. He is a bit more critical than he should be, and he basically tells students to make videos how he would make them. He also has a bit of a problem with slipping in sly disses and has a superiority complex.

Pretty easy at grading. You actualy do need to go to class because he uses things from class in the exams. As long as you do your video assignments you should be fine. Class can get a little boring sometimes but overall not too hard.
