Lynn is a passionate teacher who truly wants her students to benefit from her course content. Shes a wealth of knowledge, especially when it comes to environmental topics. She does not give easy As, so expect to work for your grades. That said, she is a fair marker and very willing to provide guidance if you need it. I learned a lot. Recommended.

Unclear on what she wants. If youre into agriculture, Id recommend to take the class. If you want to learn ENGLISH then dont take this class. It was interesting- but I came into it with an open mind. Would not take her as an instructor ever again and my classmates felt the same. Biggest advice: do not disagree with her even if she is wrong

DO NOT DISAGREE WITH HER. If you do so, you will fail. She makes a point of saying that your mark won't be affected if you argue against her, but at the same time failed every paper that did so. If you want an explanation of assignments, do not take her class. She ranted about the evils of Monsanto for four whole classes and doesn't actually teach

Here's the thing: I went into this class with incredibly high expectations, since it was a Harry Potter class. Great topic, poor execution. I only learned a few things about Harry Potter that I didn't already, and half of our three-hour class was just a rant session about all things HP. It got a bit boring after a while. I could be worse, though!

Lynn was a great professor I took three of her classes. Lynn puts a lot of work into her teaching and is very accessible outside of class during office hours. Lynn is also great in telling you what you can do in class to do better.

I took this class because I needed a university level English. I ended up getting a C- (I needed a C at least) because she failed me on my research paper. I got 2 A-s on the essays we did. I honestly did not learn a SINGLE thing about English in this course. All we did was learn about the environment. I would not recommend this prof to anyone ever

Lynn is a great professor as long as you attend office hours. She's there to help but is also a tough maker so be ware. Overall the course was somewhat enjoyable and she's passionate about the material. The lectures were 3 hours long which made it boring after a while so try to find a section that splits up the time.

Doesn't focus on criteria and likes to do her own thing and get off subject. Super heavy marker and rips you apart for things other english profs would tell you is correct. Does't explain anything when comes to assignments and 100% focuses on farming and not English. Take if you want to learn about agriculture, other than that, would not take again

The only thing we discussed was food. I felt I did not learn any english or how to write an essay. She is an increadibly bad teacher. She never tought us how to write a research paper or how to site our sources. She spends up to 2.45 hours talking about food and the other 15 minutes on actual english. I would never like to get the professor again.

The only thing discussed in class is farming rather than English. She rants about how the class should be doing better but rarely gives any feedback to improve upon (if there is any it is useless to most of the class). For a first year English course this was an excessively difficult class, marking is harder than it should be. avoid at all costs.

Lynn is extremely passionate about literature and has the brains and wit to convey it. Took a night class where she always brought tea and we spent a straight month discussing Lord of the Rings from all angles. Lectures are top-notch and she encourages discussion -- just be prepared to contribute and write a few essays along the way!

Lynn is one of those teachers who changes the way you think about the world. I went into English 115/116 planning to just take those two English courses, and then major in History. 10 years later, I am now an English teacher. The way Lynn taught critical thinking skills by weaving in current events shaped my own teaching, and I thank her for it.

If you actually want to learn anything about English and better your writing avoid this class at all costs! I spent a whole term learning only about organic farming in this class. she is a perfectionist when marking your writing even though she didn't teach us anything. Shes also not very inclined with technology and doesn't receive half her emails

To describe my experience with Lynn, I would describe it as frustrating. She has so much knowledge and passion on global warming but I didn't learn anything new regarding english. We did a weather journal assignment that I would have done in elementary school. She also tends to not come to her office hours. Trust me, don't take her courses.
