Dr. C confirmed why I want to be an English teacher. Best teacher I ever had. Caring, friendly, helpful... He lets you go in any direction you feel fit for your essays and helps you make them better if you let him. If you struggle with English, I would suggest writing a draft a week or so early and let him help you make it better. He is THE BEST!!!

This man changed my life, and he doesn't know it. I took several courses from him 15+ years ago. I've never regretted it. He said two things to me that changed the course of my life, one of which founded my life's work. The other defended me from an ogre of a professor and gave me the courage to go on in my major. Best professor I've had by far! Go to class and take good notes, and the class will be a breeze. He's very open to new ideas and learns from his students as well. Lectures were always so fun and interesting; I actually WANTED to go to his class. He will help with any problems you may have. All exams are online and easy with good notes from lectures

Great professor who lets you explore your mind and write from the heart. So far is the only professor I've had to be like this and he encourages you to be original and an individual. very positive guy and has cool stories and knows what he's talking about. entertaining lectures and one of my favorite classes.

Lit 101 was one of the best Lit courses I've ever taken. You need to write 8 papers on short stories (all can be found online, DON'T BUY THE BOOK) and you will take 3 online tests. The final exam is online. Professional Csicsila is passionate about what he does and is extremely flexible and helpful with students. Take his class!

Love love love Dr. Csicsila! He is honestly one of the best professors at Eastern. He makes the reading material come to life in class and explains it so well. For the exams he gave prompt options to choose from which was really helpful. He is very willing to help you out in any way that he can. You can tell he actually cares about his students.

Dr. Csicsila was a pretty good prof. He's very funny. Don't buy book, you can find all stories online. Lot of short stories to read, one novel. 8 short papers. Tests were a little tough.

only bad thing is you have to do things on his time. 2 short stories, a quiz, a discussion board every 2 weeks, must reply to all posts on discussions. 3 opinion papers, get 100% on all of them as long as you meet the 300 word minimum. 3 tests, only get one full day to take it, all about the short stories you read. We "read" the great gatsby.

I'd select all good tags if I could but I only get 3. By far the best professor I've had at Eastern. His classes are clear and straight forward. You will always know what you need to do and when. He is always available if you need help and gives good advice. Great for professor and if you need an adviser. Super nice guy.

I have this class online and it's actually my favorite class. I wish I would've had him in person but the online class is super easy. The readings are really good, and that's coming from someone who doesn't like to read a lot. But he likes to make you think. His lectures online are very helpful and I would take one of his classes again.

I took LITR 101 Online with him. It was an easy class, but you have to read. Every two weeks you have to red two short stories, take one quiz over them, and participate in a discussion thread about them. There are 4 exams you take after completing so many units. There are also 3 essays to write along the way. His expectations were very clear.

He is hands down the best professor I've had at EMU! He is so enthusiastic and his lectures are great! He is also hilarious! If you attend class and do your best his class is an easy A! Would highly recommend! You don't need the textbook, I found all of the stories online.

I love him! his passion is contagious. you could tell he really enjoyed what he was teaching and was genuinely glad to be there. he loves when you participate in class, is eager to hear your thoughts. do the readings, all short stories. assignment were all online. every understanding. if there is any issue he goes above and beyond. highly recommend
