I took a literature class. The professor was great and really went in-depth with the works. You have to do all the readings but there are very few papers and each of them were only a few pages.

I really enjoyed this class. Professor Halloway really knew her stuff. She selected the most excellent reading assignments and then she made the class discussions about them fascinating and fun. She broke the essays down making them very manageable.

To do well in the class you don't really need to read and most people don't (which shows) but it's a good selection of books! But the class feels confused, assignments always super vague and rarely even written in a prompt. Keep up on assignments, though, as best you can. Good content, but barely any teaching or learning or lesson plans.

I cannot express enough how grateful I am to have had Prof. Halloway this past semester. She is not only a great teacher in class but is readily available out of class to answer questions, or in my case help build my confidence in writing which allowed me to produce great papers. Consider yourself lucky, if you are able to take one of her classes.

Dr. Halloway does her best to make you think outside the norm. She isn't strict but sets the tone of the class from day one. You will need to read the material in order to participate in the class, but it's not an unreasonable amount of literature to read. If you open your mind then the material easy. Enjoyed her class.

Horrible, she has no idea what she's doing, please don't take care unless you really don't care about your grade! Sooooooo unprepared!!!! Seems like a sweet individual at first, but will have no problem with giving you a horrible grade and can't even explain the grade you get in the END!!

Teacher wise she had no idea what was going on. On the first day of class she didn't even have a syllabus or class list printed out! She will give you homework in the textbook and then say "i don't know what pages the stories are on". Then she'll say "oh yeah you have a essay due next class". She didn't even tell us what it is about or how to do it

Prof. Halloway, Ph.D is very experienced and knowledgeable in English Lit. Each class is different and it will be what you put into it. She is fair and tries to open your thinking. Be open to her style and really spend some time in adapting to what she has to offer. Highly recommend her class. Remember, you are the grasshopper.

This was my second class with Nada and I love her. Alot of people have a hard time getting used to her carefree, laidback style but I love it. She is extremely helpful with writting papers and class discussion is ALWAYS entertaining.

Great teacher, she will teach in such a way that everyone understands the content. She is easy to work with, she understands "life happens". I will be having her for English 102 in the spring.

1. Never prepared 2. Teaches right out of the book has no other examples or lesson plans. 3. Hard to hear her clearly. 4. Doesn't write on the board due to an "allergy" but does not use a white board. 5. Cant explain some terms. 6.Preaches how she has an English ph d and makes it obvious she hates teaching Philo. 7. Tests super unorganized.

For our midterm she said that she procrastinates and literally "throws the test together ten minutes before class." Therefore, no one is prepared! She doesn't care AT ALL about the students OR the class. She is one of the worst teachers I've had, maybe she should take some time off or something to get her act together.

Ms. Halloway is fair and a great professor with a PHD in English Literature. For those that made negative comments about her, well they were probaly looking for freebies and did not get it and will not get it in her class. Mediocre, I think not. Getting a good grade in high school does not mean you are college material. Grow up.

She was mediocre. She graded my assignment in 2 minutes with an A, but I doubt she really read what I wrote (even though she claims to be a fast reader). Her attitude is "take or leave it". Not hard to pass, but not all that enlightening either.

It's interesting to me the complaint some have with Ms. Halloway is that they "had always gotten good grades in English" and then failed her class, yet they blame the teacher and not themselves. Ms. Halloway's classes are based on independant thought and can't be passed with cookie cutter answers that might have worked for other classes.
