This professor teaches the class as if it's everyones major, rather than a 100 level bio class taken for elon's lab science requirements. She is incredibly difficult and unforgiving, she does not teach the material well and doesn't answer questions. I do not recommend this class to anyone.

This is by far the worst class I have ever taken. It's a 100 level class but might as well be 300. I have never had to work so hard for such terrible grades in my whole life. This professor is petty, and assigns work as if her class is the only one students take. You will regret taking it.

Kathy assigns far too much work and seems to not realize that we have 3 or 4 other classes to care about.

The tests were single handedly the hardest tests I have taken at this university, and they were for a NON MAJOR CLASS. Quizzes and homework were a breeze, but the second you open the test you might as well write your name and take the L. Gallucci was funny though, although she did 100% thought we were all stupid.

Kathy Gallucci is single-handedly the hardest teacher at Elon. She has a flipped classroom which is when you do notes at home and labs in class. This class has given me more work than my other 3 classes for my major combined. During quarantine, this class stressed me out more than it should have. It did not make online learning easier. DO NOT TAKE

Kids that do poorly in her class don't take her/class seriously. I LOVED her - she was super sweet and intelligent, and I loved her teaching style (flipped classroom: do lectures for HW, review in class). DO THE WORK I have never seen kids be so disrespectful; the kids who fail deserved it. I got low 90s on all tests/labs/etc. with minimal effort.

not exaggerating, this prof is an absolute nightmare. I saw the ratings on this website and took her class anyway, and I regret it. I've never seen a professor with a more bizarre class arrangement (how does it make sense to do a reverse class), and I've never had a professor be so angry and petty with students with genuine questions and confusion.

Dr. Gallucci's class was really hard, it was impossible to get higher than a C on her exams no matter how much you study. My TA was really cool though, she would walk around with the lab key and look over our stuff before we turned it in.

If you want an easy lab science do not take her. Her tests are impossible. she is such a hard grader. For how bad I did on the tests I actually ended up with an okay grade but she is so hard and can be so sassy. this is class should be for bio majors not non bio majors.

She can be somewhat confusing with her wording during lecture but she is not horrible by any means. I appreciate the fact that there are lots of grades (including extra credit) so even if you do badly on an exam you'll be okay & she is also super accessible if you do need help. Overall an okay class.

This class was frustrating and tedious. Dr. Gallucci can come off as condescending but I don't think she means to be. It's a "flipped class" so you do lessons online and homework in class. I didn't like this because it takes about 1-2 hours do a lesson. There are a ton of grades so even failing a test won't hurt your grade much.

Stay on top of your work, pay attention, and ask questions and you will be fine. Take notes during videos and give yourself AT LEAST 1-2 hours to complete each one. She will review material at the start of class so ask questions then. Debates are a lot of work, make sure work is divided evenly and pay attention to her corrections. She is brilliant!

Even though she's annoying and so is her flipped classroom, I thought it was a lot better than a lab science. Do all the extra credit and try to pay attention to the endless videos and you should be fine. I understand why people didn't like her, but if you are respectful and do the work the class is bearable. The debates were awful though.

Gallucci is TERRIBLE. Stay away! She has this flipped classroom approach and makes you do all the work at home and teach yourself. Then you come to class and she reads powerpoints that are so long. She is confusing and you can't figure out what to study. Most people bomb her tests and she doesn't care.

This teachers spends over half of the class lecturing and it is far from interesting. She reads off of a powerpoint and will sometimes give in class activities. She also gives a lot of homework, but at least they are only graded based on participation. Her tests are hard and impossible to study for because of the large amount of notes taken.

Dr. Gallucci is the most unreasonable professor I have ever had. She teaches this "non-major" course as if we are all biology majors, teaching a demanding & irrelevant amount of info. You do all the lecture outside of class in her "flipped" course. She has all these specific, unreasonable guidelines and makes you feel stupid for any question asked.
