Great guy and great professor. Although the class can be a bit boring at times (that's just my opinion) he's a fair grader and the work is fair. Show up and do what's assigned on time and you'll be fine. I personally enjoyed his projects, but the quizzes can be pretty tough at times.

Good prof. 1 chapter and 1 lecture each week and then you either get an assignment or a quiz. Neither is too hard but its not super easy either. Laidback and helpful.

Barberio is an excellent professor, but the class is definitely not easy (the quizzes are really easy though so don't worry about those lol). You seriously have to know your stuff for his tests, which are worth 60% of your course grade. He's a great guy that truly wants you to succeed and I enjoyed the class!!

Awful professor. I will respect that Barberio is beyond interested in what he attempts to teach. the problem is his content gets lost in translation because his lectures are drier than a desert. Found myself incredibly confused on what to study each test and regretted going to class everyday. If he's the only option, take pols122 next semester.

Gives 7 quizzes online, only counts 5 best ones. Only 3 in class exams (includes the final) only counts 2 of them. Need to be in class to listen to lectures (slides are posted online) and read textbook material. Great professor.

He is a good guy, but his test are way too hard. The test are based on his lectures and the textbook readings. He gives no review sheet for the test, but you come with questions about what you think could be on the test. The class was just a major hassle and time suck. The best part about him he at least puts a curve on his test to get you a B.

Id take this if youre in the political science field or have an interest in politics. Lots of refreshers from AP Gov if you didnt do well enough to place out. He put it best in saying that doing well in his class is like hitting a golf ball, its all right there and its all up to you. Put in the effort (which is not much) and youll be fine.

NEED the textbook to pass the class due to tests being a mix of lecture and info from the book. Also there are online pop quizzes based off of the readings. Barberio is a good guy but gives crazy hard exams. Final is not cumulative though and he drops the worst test grade so you don't need to show up to the final if you did well on the first 2

Richard Barberio is a very intelligent man and a great professor. For the class you need to read the textbook, lecture slides online and take notes during class. The class is not an easy A. There are about 6 quizzes and 3 exams. Non cumulative final. The class requires alot of studying but its not too hard.

Very easy class to take. This class is more or less participation in Government course taken in high school. Barberio tells you on the first day if you read the textbook, take good notes and are actively involved in discussion you will pass this class. Over all if you do your work this is a very easy class.

Great professor for US Government class. Always starts the lecture by talking about current events, then lectures the rest. Overall, a very interesting class, online quizzes more difficult than the tests, tests are a piece of cake if you attend lectures and read the text. Very wise and helpful man. One of my favorite professors on campus!

Dr. Barberio is an excellent professor: not only is he extremely logical and intelligent, he is approachable and loves discussing current events relating to politics. I strongly recommend taking the class. You must read and study to be successful!

Barberio is great! He's passionate about politics. He doesn't keep attendance, and he's never yelled at a late student. If you don't do well, it's cause you didn't read the text or do the work, but isn't that how all classes should be? So if you're looking for an easy A, look elsewhere. But I will say that I got an A cause I did the work.

Barberio is a great professor. The material can be somewhat boring and confusing at times, but he does his best to make it relatable to the students. He is a really nice guy and has a great teaching ability. I would recommend any class with him!
