Without a doubt the smartest professor at NDSU. Ive had several classes with him, be prepared to work hard. No class he teaches is easy, but he is more than willing to help, if you go to his office. Take intensive notes! His only flaw is he can be hard to follow, i find it easiest to take notes and ask later than try to catch up during.

Jim is the man! Great teacher. Helpful, friendly, and entertaining. However, be prepared to get rocked at least once on a test. It will happen to the best of us. BUT there is a rather friendly curve at the end of the semester so if you think you are doing bad, your probably aren't. Just get at or above the class average and you are guaranteed a C.

Awesome teacher. Really makes sure you know how to do math, not just memorize equations. Everyone needs to quit complaining about his tests. They're super hard; but he curves the class, so settle down. If you fail, it's because you suck, not him.

His tests are way to hard. I'm not a Math major therefore I shouldn't have to be quizzed and tested like one. Ridiculously hard tests. I would steer away if at all possible.

Jim is a great professor. If you are required to go above Calc I into Calc II and III, I highly recommend him. He will bring you to the level you need to be at. Very tough tests, but study the material and you'll be ready for him. Lots of work, but he's a great guy.
