Great Computers & Society professor. She's an old-school hacker with a sociology focus, and is probably more up to date on the internet than I am, both in social and technical terms. The stories she tells in class are important! Do the readings, too. You learn about human behavior in this class, not hard facts. (She's fine with laptops, BTW!)

This class was hilarious, and not much work is required. A couple simple group projects, an afternoon of studying vocab, and writing a 10 page final (ew). BACK ROW DOGHOUSE!

A very interesting lady. You can easily pass without going to class, but class isn't too bad. Sometimes people interrupt with their stupid pointless stories and class can turn into one big argument, but that's just like every other psych or soc. class.

Most boring yet easiest class I have taken. Going to class is useless, she just talks about random things related to material but not the material. Tests are based on the reading not the class. Grade based on 3 EXTREMELY easy papers and EXTREMELY easy midterm and final

This class the bomb diggity if you need to take care of those pesky honors/core reqs. Take it and you wont regret it. A laptop is a must. Class has no bearing on any work, but it is interesting sometimes. I could pass without attending a single class i think. Steer towards this class if you want to chill and piss out an A+ on those dirty cores.

This class, while not too interesting was made up for the fact that she is an AMAZING professor. Lots of great stories and is very thoughtful i f you have comments or anything about the class. If you get a chance, take a class taught by her.

Talks fast and grades group papers like we're all sociologists. Midterm was easy and a grade booster. The 3 projects are group-based which could suck for your grade. Lots of reading but no one does it. You just need to go back and read some of it for papers.

I took Honors Intro to Soc. Interesting, tells jokes and personal stories. Goes off on tangents. Easy class but could get boring. Never lets you out of class a minute early. Usually passes around attendence sheet every day.

Lots of reading to do. She doesn't check it, but you need to know it for essays and tests. Her lectures are boring, and aren't neccessary for doing well on tests/ essays, which makes getting through class hard. She takes attendance. But she nice, friendly, and generally if you read, and study, you'll do well. I have an A.

I felt this teacher shared her politcal beliefs too often. They were many times completely irrelevant. Having political views that differed from hers I was uncomfortable and felt this was very unprofessional. Otherwise class was easy, but often boring.

A little weird. Makes you look at things a different way. Very smart. Teaches a course where there is no real right answer and does a fairly good job.
