He's a very nice man, not the best teacher in the world. It may sound like everything you hear to be successful in college, but going to office hours, participating in class, asking questions, and studying a lot for this class is a must if you want to get a good grade. He's willing to help as much he can but you have to work for it.

he's a really nice guy, but he can't teach. His lectures are so boring and he adds so many unnecessary fillers to get to the main point. You'll do better by just zoning him out and reading the textbook. But he requires you to attend these waste of time lectures by dropping your grade if you don't attend. He's an okay option, but Id keep searching

Really nice guy, great in office hours, HW not required but helpful for tests. I would say biggest drawbacks are not being able to bring in laptops to practice Excel problems and SUPER boring lectures.

He's very very boring and speaks very quietly. I sat towards the back and could never hear him. He also doesn't really teach, but rather gives examples and hopes you learn as he goes. He runs through the examples very quickly so it's hard to keep up. Also, he would show us examples that require a computer but wouldn't allow computer use in class.

He's not a good speaker (very quiet and stutters) and he makes Operations even more boring than it already is, so if you get him for 300 good luck staying awake in class. Paying attention in class and going to office hours helps, but if I had the choice I definitely wouldn't take him again

DON"T TAKE HIM! His lectures are unorganized making it hard to learn. His voice is soft and monotone, which will put you to sleep. When working out problems he makes a lot of mistakes, which makes it hard to learn. The class use excel a lot but students are not allowed to have laptops in class which makes no sense. HE SIMPLY CAN'T TEACH!

He is nice but a bad teacher. His lectures are dull, and he loses the class' attention quickly. He breezes through the ppt but does a bad job of explaining what was on it. His thoughts are scattered making it difficult to follow. Computers are not allowed but most of the work requires excel, so we just watch as he does the problem for us.

Professor Wood is so nice and really wants students to succeed. That being said, his lectures can be learned straight from the textbook so it's annoying that attendance is mandatory. Very soft spoken, but if you ask for clarification, he will definitely give it. Would reccomend.

Tom Wood is a nice guy, he wants you to succeed, and he helps when he can. That being said, his lecture based class is very boring and monotonous. He is not a great speaker and your ability to concentrate will suffer the consequences. Incredibly dry course material is made worse by his presentation. Passable, but almost impossible to stay awake for

Professor Wood is a really nice guy but a little difficult to learn from at times. Not a great professor when it comes to learning from him. He breezes through his power points and spends most of class time going over book problems (which can be pretty dull). The book is great thought and his office hours are helpful. Overall he's okay.

Wood is a great guy, and teaches the material pretty well in class, but sadly when it comes to the tests they are nearly impossible. I would go to review sessions, and study for hours and the highest grade I got on a test was an 80. He is also a tough homework assignment grader, which affected my grade considerably. Not the worst but not the best.

He is nice, but he does not present class material in a way that is very clear. If you ask for help, then he is more than willing. Tests are much much harder than anything you will do in the class and studying for countless hours does little you prepare you for them. I basically had to teach myself using the textbook.

Professor Wood is a very sweet man and genuinely cares about his students. However, tests ended up being way harder than the super easy class meetings and homework load and that killed my grade. HW is not mandatory but DO THEM or you'll be totally lost like me. He is very helpful if you ask him questions and go to office hours

He's such a nice guy. He's better suited for 191, rather than 300. Stats can be hard, but he's always willing to help out. He also adds points to your test for participating. Excel and homework assignments are really good grade boosters. Tests and quizzes aren't too hard either. His has a quiet voice so be sure to sit up front!

He's nice and caring, with good intentions. Unfortunately his health issues prevent him from being an effective teacher. He's quiet and we moved through the material very slowly. It was very hard to stay awake or keep any interest at all during class. His exams are somewhat difficult but not terrible. He's not great but it's not his fault.

He means well, but his thoughts are scattered, shows up unprepared for classes, and has many health issues. The tests are difficult, because you don't learn anything in class. The poor man just needs to retire. We were behind all other sections due to his many health issues. You never know what your grade is in the class, because nothing is posted.

Tom Wood is such a friendly guy, but he was not a good fit for the operations portion of COB300. 300 is a rigorous program and he moves SO SLOWLY that we were always behind the other sections. I think he is better fit for 191. He reads right off the slides and is so quiet and boring I can hardly hear/stay alive. Super cute old mister though!!

Comment:
Wood's class is horribly boring and material seems to repeat itself. Tests are essentially pointless to study for and are surprisingly difficult considering class material is seemingly straightforward. His thoughts seem to be scattered and he's hard to follow. Seems like a nice guy but not in his teaching prime.
