Comment:
Disorganized, un-transparent, poor communication and horrid marker. Prepare yourself for the lowest mark of your 3rd year. While she may be knowledgeable herself, she is a poor lecturer and often times has to go close to the full 3 hours to get across all content, and that still isn't enough. Didn't give a single mark till course was over..

Professor Rosu has time and time again shown incompetency to her profession. Highly arrogant, never grades nor replies emails. During lessons, she seems to be forced to do her job. Perpetually late on grading. Zero communication skills and absolute incompetency on her part

Daniela is knowledgeable but does not structure class well. She lacks organizational skills to help her students succeed. She explains a lot of conceptual things that we're not tested on. She does not grade anything in an efficient matter so you'll never know where you're at in the class. She does not take up tests so you don't know what was wrong

Professor Rosu is not clear and consice and tends to lose track of what is going on. Assignments and test are difficult with a very short time given.

Comment:
Daniela will teach the nightmarish mathematical way of FDs and normalization to prove that a database schema is a good one. Other profs teaching 3220 do not do that, they actually give you better ways (and BETTER grades too!). Daniela's exams have too many questions with so little time. she's the grim reaper of ITEC 3220 --> AVOID HER AT ALL COST

Professor Rosu gives clear, direct, high-quality feedback and she has deep knowledge of computer science. She is very accessible outside of class despite being busy. Finally, it's easy to hold a conversation with her because she is approachable, caring, and has a good sense of humour. Highly recommend.

Comment:
She teaches same course at York. Says at the beginning it'll be a practical course than what she teaches at UofT, less theory and more SQL like other profs that teach this course. WRONG. All she does is focus on theory. Cynthia or Marina actually teaches whats practical for DB. She takes over 2 months to hand back assignments. Cant teach. Avoid!

Comment:
Terrible lecturer. Teaches Python programming with unnecessarily complicated syntax taken straight from the official Python documentation instead of just live coding on her laptop for the class to see what's going on, as the other profs do. She shows up late and is not clear when giving the lecture.

- rude teacher - can't write concise assignment instructions/expectations. Is necessary to go to labs to talk to ta's who know what the actual expectations are. If you don't you need to go across 2 lecture slide decks, 2 lab slide decks, and the assignment outline. - Difficult to understand - lectures are pointless. Slides are posted.

Atrocious, assignments and exams covered in typos and mistakes. Prof was incapable of explaining anything in a concise or understandable manner, irrelevant of how simple it might have been.

Difficult to understand the course material because this prof doesn't explain the material well at all. Assignments are vague and plagued with mistakes and typos. But beware, if you try to ask the prof about typos during office hours, be prepared to hear lines such as "this is not my problem set" or "please email me later" (email forwarded to TA).

Comment:
This professor thinks it is more than appropriate to post assignment solutions as early as 40 minutes before start of the final exam. Besides, she argued that this is absolutely reasonable and acceptable. Moreover, this professor rarely answers questions on the course forum. So, make good use of online open courses and teach yourself.

Absolute worst experience I've ever had in 5 years of undergrad. Prof was extremely unprofessional. Late with grading, selective with which forum posts to reply to, so many mistakes in tests and assignments. Gave us assignments on material we had not learned. Stay away from any class taught by Rosu.

Had to teach myself the entire course. Released problem set solutions 2 hours before the exam, blamed students with accessibility needs and watsed time arguing over that on piazza. Solutions were also half wrong and incomplete.

Hands down the WORST prof ive ever had in my 4 years of study. ATROCIOUS time management skills Spent too much time on the first half of the course and then RUSHED through the later half of the course. ZERO support on piazza and slides and examples were posted LATE. Assignment 3 example slides were posted AFTER A3 WAS ALREADY DUE. SMH...
