Terrible. She is condescending and rude, doesn't care about her students at all. Psych was one of my streams and after this class I changed my stream. Exams are very specific about the randomest little details from the lectures.

Graded by only 3 exams. Lectures were done by a variety of people and not many were engaging. Forgie has a short temper with students, even ending a zoom meeting early in annoyance. Questions in exams were phrased awkwardly, and the material covered a very large scope of knowledge. Don't take if you don't need to.

Avoid a class with Dr. Forgie if you can. She is rude and tends to be condescending. Our mark for the class came from 3 tough exams, all in which contained extremely ambiguous questions that were hard to answer. If you're looking for an easy A, this class isn't it.

Unprofessional, very rude, this psych teacher made people lose interest in their majors and drop out of the class. Disrespectful to students and other teachers. Very hard to talk to, she showed up drunk to our lectures (and was still drinking) and has left lectures early with nearly 150 students just sitting there.

The worst prof ever. Do not even give her the time of day. the most unsympathetic person you will ever meet. Her expectations for exams are absurd and she gives you no guidance whatsoever for anything. If you're spending money for these courses, at least spend it on a half decent prof.

I gave her the benefit of the doubt despite her terrible reviews. She is the most uncaring prof I have ever expirienced. She certianly is not there to help you and she sends any question you have to the T.A. Her exams are stupid difficult and she prides herself in the fact that not many people do well on them. Do not take classes with her!!!

Dr. Forgie is a true expert in her field, you have to go to class to get notes but I respect that, in order to do well you should have basically understood all definitions and major concepts she goes over in class. The exams are a little tough but if you have studied you should do fine!

Despite how funny and entertaining Dr Forgie she is not very understanding or helpful. She seems to not really care if you learn the material, she says her first test every year has an average of around 50%. She seems proud of this. The tests are HARD, and you should know the fine details to everything covered for that test.

Forgie is tough and this class has a tonne to remember. She doesn't post her slides so either go or make sure you have a friend you can get notes from if you can't make it. Reading the text will also help big time. This was my first class with Forgie and i actually really enjoyed her teaching style even though she makes the class really hard.

I've only had her for 2 lectures but I would recommend not talking to Dr. Forgie unless you REALLY have to. Her material wasn't very difficult. Make sure to attend lectures as in psyc1000 they don't give out the powerpoints and her lectures are different from her writings. Her exam questions were specific but fair. Grades based on 3 exams.

DO NOT TAKE PSYCH 1000 UNLESS YOU NEED IT FOR YOUR MAJOR. This class is so all over the place it is almost impossible to follow. 3 tests- ALL IMPOSSIBLE even if you study like crazy Lecture heavy & reading heavy - if you don't do both you definitely will not pass. Forgie was very condescending.

If you are planning to take the class for an easy mark then this is not for you. The amount of work you need is astronomical. You will be marked by how you do in 3 exams. These exams are based on lectures, powerpoint (which you don't have access to; only available in class) and the book. If you want to focus more in your science courses don't take.

Margaret is an absolute sweetheart. She shows that she cares and wants you to be successful. If you show her respect she will show you it back. Midterms can be tricky if you don't study the specifics. If you aren't good at writing papers you're going to have a hard time although you can re hand them in. There is a group project which isn't too bad

This is one of the more difficult Psyc classes I've taken. Her slides don't give you a lot to go off of and she doesn't post them. The tests are not very easy and the average is usually in the 50's. There are 2 papers and a group presentation with no rubric so you just do what you can and get an arbitrary mark.

Not necessary Dr. Forgie, but Psych 1000 is probably the hardest 1000 course this University offers. Each class a different prof comes in and teaches entirely different things which makes it super hard to study for. The tests may mention something a prof barely touched on, so you have to memorize EVERY lesson and textbook chapter word for word.

test questions were worded VERY difficult to understand. if you don't show up to class- good luck. If you don't read every single word in the textbook- good luck. The 3 tests were based on SMALL details the many profs would mention once and were also based on the small minor details in the textbook. Was very hard to know what to study for each test

As she only lectured couple classes, it's hard to say whether other classes with her may be better. I found her very blunt and direct, sometimes rude but her lectures were usually interesting. Tests were tough but based off of lectures and the textbook so weren't overly hard as long as you put in the effort. Won't likely take another class with her
