An excellent professor. Requires that you actually do the work and think critically. Very smart guy. Who cares if you can't be on your phone for 80 minutes? Welcome to college kids.

Honestly if you can stay away from this guy I highly recommend it. I'm a diligent student and could only pull off a B even with a 90% on his 15 pg term paper. Expelled a couple if kids in my class for using their cellphones/iPads.

He is a great professor and I enjoyed the class. However, the quizzes are difficult and do not pertain to the information in the book. So, its like your reading the book for nothing. There also is a 15 page paper that he makes you do.

He had only 2 hmrk assignments worth 5 POINTS! a mid term, final and term paper each 30 POINTS. The term paper is 10 pages long.class is mandatory and lectures useless. No need for the book.Study power points for the exams. He is a nice guy but should retire. teaching style changed over past years. NO ELECTRONICS. NOT EVEN A LAP TOP TO TYPE NOTES.

Great professor. very dedicated to his profession and passionate towards Criminal Justice. Two major papers, but he requires a draft which he gives you suggestions before you hand in the final copy. It is easy to get an A if you do the work and listen to his comments. I have taken him twice and would recommend him.

Second time taking Harris, this time during the summer. Intro to Juvenile Justice, interesting class. He knows a lot on this topic b/c this is HIS area of expertise! Grades pretty well! Curved the quiz grades and such to help us all out. Let us out 30 minutes early each class! Gave extra credit. Really wanted us to do well! Easy A! Take him!

Really nice guy. Lectures were kind of boring b/c of the content of the class. Two papers required alot but were only 5-7pgs, but easy to get an A, I got a 98% on the 1st and 95% on the 2nd. Answer all the parts and you're good. Other homework was pass/fail. Final was take- home essays. Take Harris. Its worth it! Not too hard to get an A!

His class discussions are awkward because no one reads the boring readings he assigns. He's a fair grader but he does not by any means hand out A's; I had to work really hard for mine. Make sure you're really interested in Criminal Justice before you take him, as the dry, boring lectures (which are mandatory) might scare you away.

Harris is the REAL deal; he been teaching at temple for almost 30 years. His class is difficult and extremely demanding at times, but he WILL always help you. If you take the class you will learn something, and if you get an A you will know you earned it. Harris is also very well connected in the field can be very useful for a recommendation!!!

Dr. Harris is a really nice man who is willing to help you do good. I never worked as hard in this class as I did in any other writing class before, but this class was definately my favorite. The lectures are boring, but if you apply yourself and go to class, then you should do fine. I'm very proud of the writing pieces I have submitted to him.

Dr. Harris is a really interesting person. I took the general-ed class Doing Justice. It was really easy, but the class sometimes seemed to drag on. He gives easy pop quizes, but there was a lot of reading material. You will get atleast a 'B' if you read everything. Dr. Harris is willing to help you get a good grade. TAKE DOING JUSTICE
