This course had no exams nor final but a workload on the assignment and portfolio! Recommend starting the portfolio before and not leaving it last minute! Kinda bummed about the essay portion because this course is problems & puzzles so I would like to have reflections rather than essay. Overall good course to take and its interesting

Shelly is hands down one of the best, most caring profs at the university. Any one who hates math should take this course. It is interesting, and she provides useful information about real life things. Weekly assignments, 3 tests and 1 paper. All which are fairly graded and it is easy to be successful if you attend the lectures. Love her positivity

I love Shelly. She's nice, easy marker, cares about your learning, likes to get to know her students, always in a good mood, down to earth, no textbook needed, really good at teaching the information. The only reason she is rated as difficult at all (for me) is because there was a period when a lot of her questions were math. Would take another cal

Shelly Wismath is one of the most personable professors at UofL. She really wants you to succeed. I'm not a math person myself, but she is such an excellent instructor that I actual UNDERSTAND what is happening in the class. She also has very clear expectations, and will help you achieve them. I HIGHLY recommend taking a class with her.

Take. This. Class. If you don't get above 90%, something is wrong with you. The assignments are incredibly easy, but sometimes take a bit of time. There is no better GLER than this, and it's kind of interesting too.

Shelley was a great prof. She made my first year at university amazing. She was very eager to help when questions were asked, and tried to keep even the most tedious part of the course interesting. Her essays, though marked tough, were nice, because the opportunity for a rewrite was given.

Shelly was pretty awesome, super nice, and very helpful. The class itself was just OK, but the tests were crazy easy. Shelly does mark decently hard for the essays, although she lets you revise them for a new mark. Easy class!

I took calculus with her in the 80's. She was amazing. I once fell asleep in her class (8am what can I say). When I awoke she looked at me,smiled and went right back to writing. I missed my A by 1/4%--went and spoke to her and she not only gave me my A but another student who had the same mark. Can't believe anyone would say she's not fair.
