Really great professor. Ken Lewis is a very sweet man and is so knowledgeable about what he teaches. Method of teaching is a little bit of an adjustment but he does a really good job of explaining everything in depth. Always accessible for office hours. Exams are extremely similar to practice exams so no surprises w/ grades.

He is sweet, and accessible outside of class up to late the night before an exam. The exams are very similar to the practice exams, and homework is confusing and often has to be redone multiple times. But getting a B or and A is easily attainable.

TAKE THIS CLASS. Not the easiest course material, but as long as you go to the class, do the homework, it's all good to go. For tests, he has study guides and his exams are very similar to the study guides. the grading criteria is very unclear, but I'd rather have a good hunch of A or B than clear grade of C or D with other professors.

Has unique way of teaching, so just pay attention for the first few lectures, and you'll get the hang of him. LOT of knowledge about the economic world. Really cares about students and wants them to do well. Always available when you need him. Gives practice tests that are just like exams. Would definitely recommend.

Very easy professor. Even if you don't try (like at all) you're guaranteed a B. Lewis is also a very funny guy... very old and because that he's a funny guy to watch teach.

Comment:
Treats the class like 5th grade. Tests are fill in the blank worksheets. No real learning, just memorizing. Uses handouts for everything, often unnecessarily. If you don't fill in the blank with exactly what he wants, you get points off. The class itself isn't difficult, just frustrating to sit through, especially if you're good at math/stat.

Professor Lewis is great. His exams are long, but he pulls all his questions from previous exams, which you go over, and other worksheets from class. He explains everything thoroughly, which can get a bit boring if you have good knowledge of calculus. If you do the work an A is definitely possible. Take him if you can.

By far one of the best Economics teachers I've ever had. He clarifies material that could initially seem overwhelming, and his lectures are never boring or confusing. He loves teaching and has a genuine interest in the material as well as the students. The tests are intimidating, but he prepares students well. Love him!

Very good teacher. The only problem are these losers cheating alot in class. But hey, PhD students probably have to keep their fundings...Not very fair for master students who work their butt off.

His exams are long. Im talking 10-12 pages. But by the end of it you know your stuff! I am really looking forward to econ423 with him next semester. A++ Prof

I have enjoyed how the professor has taught, his sincere and his joy for teaching. What is not good about this class is all the cheating that goes on.Actually in the entire department. People just copy from each other while gathering the ire of us hard working students who do it the right way.Beware of the class and any other graduate economics cla
