Good professor! She gives Powerpoint notes for each chapter and study guides for each quiz and test. I also met with her before class whenever I had questions.

Professor Lazdins is awful. She does not explain anything well and her tests are extremely hard. I studied an endless amount of hours for her class and still did awful. Do NOT take her.

Take this professor. Just do it. She is your only hope for getting an A in this class! (coming from a person who had to retake it) seriously though. She makes the best of two horrible subjects combined into one class. She is awesome!

Inara is a really good chemistry teacher, I also had her for BIO 120, but found her chemistry teaching to be more clear. She is not a bad BIO 120 teacher, but often unclear.

GREAT organic/biochem professor. Wants the best for her students and is willing to help them out. Tries to make sure everyone understands. You have to study! but it's definitely worth it...I would take her for all science courses if I could!

MUCH better chemistry than biology professor. Class is optional; you HAVE to study for the exam otherwise you will fail. She knows what she's talking about, but it's not always put in easy terms. Very nice lady, though and wants the best for her students.

Inara gives you all the notes for the chapters, you just have to add in the context of the bullets. She also gives key terms for tests and worksheets to help visualize what she's teaching. The exam is easy if you do well on the 4 tests.

Dr. Lazdins was great! She knows biology (Johns Hopkins PhD) and really cares about her students. She was very helpful and stayed after class to help me whenever I needed it.

I hate chemistry, but Prof. Lazdins made it understandable. I tried to take organic chemistry at a previous college and it was horrible (and I am an A/B student!). She takes the time to explain the chemical reactions and how and why they occur. Lots of material, but class is straightforward and expectations are clear. Study and you will be fine!

I had her for my biochem. You have to study there is no way around it, but it is duable. Exams are not that bad, comes straight from notes and lecturing, just make sure you memorize everything. I don't think anyone could make this class any easier. Lot of times not there for her office hours, but very helpful when you get her, in lab especially.

She is definitely not for everyone. Take her for CHM 109 and CHM 231. She is very good at teaching those classes and they are pretty easy. Stay away from BIO 120 and CHM 232 (biochem) She is a better chemistry teacher than bio teacher. Also, if your class is before 12pm, don't ever expect her to be at her office hours. Everything is on her time.

I had to retake biochem and took it with Inara this time. It was much easier than my previous biochem course. Inara is a good professor to take if you are simply interested in getting through this class. If you actually have a true interest in biochem you may want to take someone more challenging as her tests emphasize memorization. Nice woman!

Very smart lady. But sometimes she starts getting too in depth with things b/c of her knowledge on the subject and I get confused as to what she wants us to know and what was just for fun. The time I had the outlines I could pay attention better and understood more. when I didn't have the outline and couldnt pay attention and write so much!

Really nice lady who teaches straight from her notes. Her tests are MC and very straightforward (EASY). Her labs are actually harder than the tests, make sure to study for lab quizzes or they will bring down your grade big time.

Inara is extremely over hyped. I heard how she is the best and all that, simply not true. She fell behind in class and we all suffered. She will also make you feel like a bonehead if you ask her any questions, she is the most unaproachable prof I have had so far. My biggest gripe is her exams, she grades them completely arbitrarilly, don't take her

Inara is awesome! She has a way of explaining organic chemistry that makes it easy to understand. The exams are just like the quizzes, so you know what to expect. She's also great in lab. Take her! She is well worth the trip to Holland!

She is a really good prof, teaches with a bit of humor to keep things interesting. The bad part is that you have to have a couple boneheads in the class becuase she has her ideal class average and if the class is doing better she will than she expects she will stop giveing extra credit on exams and quizzes and make those exams as hard as they can b
