Paz is the best. He is very passionate about the material of his classes and will give proper feedback on papers. I had him for my freshman sequence and he is very accommodating to his students. We literally told him at one point that we were not prepared to turn in a paper and he extended the deadline for us. Very easygoing and funny. We loved him

Paz is THE MAN. He is such a good guy and will push you to do your absolute best in everything that you do. If you have him for honors you will 100% build a relationship with him. He is very easy to talk to and just reach out to if you need help. He will tear your paper apart, but grades very fair.

Dr. Pazdernik is an amazing professor and is very knowledgeable about what he teaches. He cares about his students a lot and is very thorough with his explanations. That being said, the class is very heavy on reading and papers, but the role-playing game is pretty fun. Honestly, if you do the reading and go to office hours, you're good.

One of the hardest 100 level classes. If you have no previous knowledge on greek mythology/civilizations you will not pass. Class is based on 3 papers and a test. Tests are extremely difficult. Very nice professor, cares about his students, the content of the class is hard to grasp.

Hardest 100 level class I have experienced. 3 hard papers and an impossibly hard test (he did curve it). Lots of hard quizzes that you need to do reading to be prepared for. These ancient Greek names and terms sound like stds and are nearly impossible to remember. You will lose points for unexcused absences.

Professor Pazdernik is lecture-heavy. A lot of class was listening to him go over readings from the textbook. However, they were interesting lectures and if you're interested in the Greek culture, it is a good course to take to fulfill a general education requirement. Very willing to work with you as long as you reach out to him and truly cares.

This class is easy as long as youre willing to do the readings. There is one exam and if you dont read you wont do well. Quizzes are online and super easy.

Regardless of your major, Pazdernik is a great professor. The lectures can get really monotonous but he is a genuine guy, with multiple degrees from many ivy league schools. If you ever need help he is extremely helpful in his office hours.

Pazdernik was truly a great professor! He helped me when I was struggling and he seems to truly care about his students. So long as you actually try, he'll be understanding. If you like learning about ancient Greece... TAKE HIM! The quizzes are very straightforward and easy and the papers(2) are cake if you leave yourself time. He's there to help!

He makes the class fairly interesting, as it's a discussion based class. There are about 4 projects which are the only thing you are graded on. I didn't do any of the reading, and it only came back to bite me a couple of times, as participation isn't mandatory. He's a pretty knowledgeable guy and cares about his students.

Comment:
This guy is awful. 100 level classes are intended to spur interest in a subject, perhaps even teach a few core concepts. Instead Charles teaches this class as if it is a graduate level course, expecting not a surface level understanding, but rather an in depth (even philosophical) comprehension of everything. Horrible, avoid unless you hate your gp

He is a very nice guy, would be great to maybe chill with but his teaching methods make no sense. He makes you read 30 pages every day from some random ancient Greek article and expects you to answer multiple questions online and submit it for participation as well as marks for attendance.

I would not recommend this class to anyone unless you enjoy learning about the subject. The professor is a nice man, but his class is very boring and it's not helpful especially if classics is not your major. I think that he forgets that it is a 100 level class and that not many people enroll just for their GenEd.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS, especially not as a gen ed. He expects way to much for a 100 level class. His lectures are boring, despite the topic being interesting. His assignment directions are vague and confusing, and the assignments themselves are tedious and non-beneficial in the long run. Class is boring and mandatory, and I had to buy 6 books.

My favorite Professor that I've had in college so far. He really cares about getting to know his students and seeing them succeed. The class is challenging; there is a lot of reading and writing but it is honors. Go to office hours as often as you can, he is patient and extremely helpful. Paz is passionate about what he teaches and it shows.

Comment:
Excellent professor, with a superb grasp of the material, less so a grasp of time, though he's learning... READ THE BOOKS. ALWAYS. He also is willing to help out when you're writing papers, and yes, one of his shoulders is higher than the other. This is a professor for Honors students who like quality teaching and no silly handouts.
