Warning: do not take his classes. Even though the subject is interesting, he ruins it. He gives insane marks on papers and is not helpful in the least. How is it that I get A's in harder poli sci courses but come out with a 70 in this cake walk course? Unbelievable....stay away at all costs.

What can I say, I didn't go to class or studied and came out with a B. I attribute this to my foreknowledge of American politics than his teachings. He gives unclear feedback on papers/exams and the few lectures I attended literally put me to sleep. But he gave me a B in his class, so I'll give him a B in my rating.

I don't usually say bad things about profs.. but even when I wanted help he would drift off in his words and make no sense. And he gave me crappy marks, when I got A's in my other posc courses. BLAH.

Extremely boring lectures. He tends to go off topic quite a bit, and is quite set in his opinions on international politics. The text book that he uses is not very helpful, but his tests are fair and he does not mark essays very hard. Overall, he is not a good prof and I would not recommend this class taught by him.

If he actually instructed in the English language, you might actually understand something. And furthermore, enunciating words, speaking with inflection, and lecturing above whispered mumbles might also help. What a waste of money.

Showed is true ability in this course. Had him for 1000 and didnt like him, but im a few years wiser and can grasp his ideas now. He is one of the smartest guys at Mun, but yes, he is kind of boring. Proof that power point is more than "eye candy", if only he used it he could make his ideas more coherent. Good course, Decent prof.

Not only can he not teach, this guy completely lacks any social skills. He only has a B.A., and his lack of education shows in his terrible instruction. I shouldn't be paying good money for barely qualified relics. And not only were his classes a worse fate than death, but one-on-one you got little to no clarity on things. HORRIBLE. TOTALLY AVOID!!

Just looking at him makes you want to go to sleep, then he begins to talk and youd rather shoot yourself then listen to him. DOnt go to class, read his website, read the book and youll do fine. I got an A!

Perhaps I watch too much tv, but I had expected, in a philosophy class, to talk about philosophy. Each class was the same: he entered, spoke for 50 minutes, and left. No class input, nor even any indication that he realized there were students present. Brilliant man, but poor student interaction.

No class interaction whatsoever. You might as well be doing a distance course. Actually you are better off doing a distance course, cuz if he decides he doesn't like you all his "fair marking" goes straight out the window. Good thing he's retiring.

Very smart man. Just needs to spice things up. I CANNOT stay awake in this class, his dull monotone voice is a cure for insomnia. The course has so much potential to be interesting and fun, as opposed to so "textbook" and boring.
