I learned many interesting concepts from his lectures. His 3 midterms, 1 final, and extra credit are based off his 2 thick textbooks. So far, he is the hardest teacher I ever had. I am a slow reader and ADHD, but I managed to pass. Listen to the advise of the other comments here! He is very passionate about what he lectures about. Good challenge!

TO PASS: Take notes on everything he says not just theory. If he gives you statistics on how econ broke down during a certain time write those down and memorize them for essay type questions. For the text book reading make sure you understand the specific arguments and you'll be fine. For clarity I did not study on one exam and got a 45, others 78

His lectures are entertaining, but not because of the information he gives, it's because of his bold opinions. Besides that, everything about the course is horrible. His exams are painfully difficult for no reason. You barely learn anything from the lecture, and the slides are handwritten and very poorly done. DO NOT choose this professor 4 ECON

I genuinely advise you guys not to take him. His lectures are just himself talking. The class with only 4 exams, which brings your grade down easily for one failed exam. If you want to register for Econ 104 with prof. Rustici, you better prepare to learn independently without good instruction.

There are only 4 grades and they are all exams. The exam times were bad even though it was an asynchronous class. They would all open at 7pm and close at 9am. Often went on tangents in his videos and was very opinionated on the subjects. Wrote the textbook. Published his own theory thing. DO NOT TAKE HIM!

This class was the literal worst. I only took him because he was the only professor left. His test timings were not convenient at all even though it was an online class. His lectures are barely tolerable at best and his exams are a pain. If you have other options, do not take him.

Impossible. The class is only graded on tests and they are actually impossible. If you value your sanity, do not take this professor. He is the best lecturer and I learned a lot but the exams are impossible. The textbooks are crazy long, there are two that are mandatory. Do not take this professor.

I took Prof. Rustici my first semester at GMU. When I bought my books, the staff at the bookstore said "you better make some friends in class or you won't pass." I was told in class that 30% of all students will fail. I reached out to him for help, and even with TA assistance, the class wasn't passable. Seriously, better to take another econ prof!

At first, I was scared of this guy. The first three units were difficult, but the final part is where things start to become better. I'm pretty interested in finance, so his last few weeks of lectures were actually insightful. To be honest, as long as you work hard in his class, you will pass his class for sure.

He's a very entertaining and passionate professor. He likes to relate topics to his personal stories which are pretty funny. His tests are HARD, I had to take his class twice.

Take your chances somewhere else. Filled with disbelief and hatred This class has made me suffer. You have to weigh the pros and cons when taking this class and conquering life. My final exam was set for a Wednesday at 10:30 am. He usually sets exams on Fridays. Chik-fil-a burrito in my hand I had to choose between eating it cold or failing.

It was my first college year, and it already felt like I was going under. Any other schedule you've developed for the week is overthrown by the video lectures tossed at you. I've never experienced challenges like this class. I hope this review acts like a scarecrow for this class to other students. Filled with agony every exam.

If you want an easy A 100% and don't mind the quality of professor, choose someone else, but if you want to be challenged in a doable way (this was my first econ class ever hence my C a B was definitely possible) with a fantastic professor, then choose rustici for sure. I would choose him again. He is the reason I switched my major to Econ.

Prof Rustici knows what he is talking about. I have never had a more passionate teacher. Really interesting lectures, makes you think a little different about things. The test are extremely hard.... failed the first one. The extra credit is very crucial DO THEM. Overall I think its a solid choice.. do not expect an easy A

I'm a slow reader and was able to get through his class without reading any of the books; this was 17+yrs ago so I can't be sure it's still true. I studied his past exams. Econ103,104 with Rustici made me a much smarter person. Those two Rustici classes changed my life and some other students were saying similar things. Note:I'm not an econ major

Rustici has a reputation as being insanely difficult for 100 level econ classes. The biggest reason why i think is beacuse unlike most HS and even college classes, he does not pad the course with unnecessary BS to pump up your grade. His class is all test grades, so study by quizzing yourself. Great lectures,if a little freemarket savioristic

This class is the most failed class at GMU. You can participate, read, and take notes all you want but you will still end up being confused when exams roll in. You definitely want to make sure you do the extra credit reading cause you're going to need it.
