Is the nicest person ever if he likes you but can be supppperrr mean if he doesn't. Dont bother going to his lecture classes, they won't help. get chegg and use it to help you through the homework. As long as you can do the homework and know how to use the equations for those, you'll be okay!

He has poor lecturing ability. Straight from the powerpoint. Is unable to answer a question directly by any means. He always has an attitude and is rarely not condescending to his students. Potential to be great but lacks the care to. He spends more time deriving an equation you will not use than going over content with the class.

HE IS A REALLY GREAT GUY! PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS AND YOU WILL DO REALLY WELL. HIS EXAMS ARE STRAIGHT FROM HIS LECTURE EXAMPLES AND WEB ASSIGN ASSIGNMENTS.

While everyone says he is not the best.... he is! Physics is a hard topic and he goes off topic but I am taking him and he curves the exams and tries to help IF YOU GO AND ASK FOR HELP!!!! his exam is straight from homework or questions he does in class so pay attention. He is not as bad as everyone says just put in the work and try and ask Q's

Robinson chooses not to teach the class material. He instead puts lectures on youtube and asks students to watch the videos (none of which contain much actual content about the course). Get ready to teach yourself physics, and get Chegg. This man won't teach anything, but you can pass. Tests are just like the hw, so do that and know how its done.

Comment:
This class was painful. There was a ridiculous amount of work assigned (for lecture you must do all the learning on your own and there are full lab write ups every week). That being said, it is possible to do well but you must work extremely hard. For exams study all the WebAssign, in class problems and the explanations. For lab follow the handouts

Literally doesn't teach a thing and expects you to understand everything based off videos that don't go into nearly as much detail as what's on the test. He's self riteous and has no problem Watching you fail. Snarky comments and no patience--just the concoction for a bad experience. Barely passed and I already took AP physics and got a 90.

Hardest Class ever. Sadly, he does not teach at all. You walk into class and answer clicker questions based on the textbook readings, which also teaches you nothing. He is the only physics professor available so you can't avoid it. Seriously considered withdrawing... Good luck! Self taught physics isn't fun.

Took his Intro to Cosmology class. This class has so much potential to be interesting, but it just isn't with him. He makes material so dry and boring. Also, a 15-20 page paper for an intro core class is in my opinion RIDICULOUS. So much unnecessary work. So vague. Vague with paper, vague with tests, everything. Take a different core!!

Comment:
This is the most unpleasant class I have ever taken. You will have to teach yourself everything, but the textbook is as hard to understand as Robinson's lectures. The homework will take hours every week and the tests alternate between annoying and impossible. College-level physics is difficult material, but Robinson makes it a living hell. Sorry.

If you don't have to take Physics THEN DON'T!!! He is the ONLY professor who teaches this class, and if you have to take this class because of your major, minor, or concentration then good luck. Get ready to teach yourself Physics if you have this professor.

I think the worst part of the physics department here is the fact that Robinson makes us do labs that we don't understand and then explains what they mean a week after the labs reports are already handed in. If possible, take Ludlow for lab. He understands that Robinson is an idiot.

DO NOT TAKE PHYSICS HERE!! It is not worth the stress that this class produces. Lecture material is not sufficient to be able to handle the exams and homework. He's a nice guy, but should not be teaching.

Unfortunately he is the only physics teacher at Marist. He CANNOT teach and I don?t know how he lasted this long. All homework is done online and it does factor into your grade...so do it. The homework brought my grade up to a B-. He?s a jerk when answering your questions and makes you feel stupid. You need read the textbook to somewhat understand

Comment:
professor Robinson is something. He is overworked, underpaid, and understaffed. He tries to teach, but he just goes over formulas in class not HW. Tests are online in his labs and you need a 80 to pass on each in order to take the next test. He doesn't ask any questions and gives just about no help. If you just do HW and study, you'll get a B
