One of the worst teachers I have come across in my entire life. I literally do not think its possible to get a good grade in this class. She either puts in the most random grades or is just hard on grading. No clear instructions. I give up.

This is the lowest grade I've ever gotten and its in an elective class! I completed every single assignment, which were daily, often times 2 on one day and still got a C-. The instruction was never clear. She was weeks behind in grading things so I never got the feedback to improve, and I think rushed through grading and plugged in random grades

One of the worst professors I have encountered. She is so tough on grading, and just when you think you actually did good on a discussion post or assignment she comes back with a horrible grade because you didn't do it exactly as she wanted, but the instructions are never clear. DO NOT TAKE A CLASS WITH HER!

Eh. I'm going to save you from wasting more time than necessary here. When it comes to quiz time, open the textbook in one tab and the quiz in another, split the screens. Use the search tool in the online textbook to search for key phrases from the question to find the answers for the quiz, then make your initial reflection on the chapter.

I took this class with her online this past winter. Yes, it was a month long class, so it definitely was a lot of work, but I really liked it and found it extremely interesting. She's a really good professor, and if you do the work, you'll do fine. Would recommend it to anyone who is a WMS major/minor.

Dr. Jacobson was a tough grader and there are tons of reading to be done. If you do not read you will fall behind easily. There's writing to be done every week and a quiz, the quizzes are easy but she's tough on the writing participation and wants a lot from students. If you not ready to wrote every week along with reading then do not take this.

This was a challenging, interesting, engaging, reading and writing intensive seminar! Taking a course in Global Women and Gender Studies will give you an awareness of and an advantage in relating to the world that will support you in lifetime growth. There is definitely not enough room here to give a full review. I absolutely respect this professo

To all future students thinking about taking a class with the Rev. Jacobson: DON'T DO IT. Seriously, just find a different class to take. Unless its part of your major. Then I would start praying now and hope for the best. Doesn't recognize effort unless its something she agrees with. Horrible person to deal with. Just don't bother.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! I REPEAT, STEER CLEAR, FIND ANOTHER ELECTIVE. I wish I would've checked here prior to taking the class. It was more work than my major COMBINED. This Professor treats students as if this is a course from their major, a major w/in a PhD program. Save yourself the headache and choose a different course!!!! You've been warned.

Honestly I am a very good with reading classes and online ones as well. Here was the toughest of all classes I have ever taken. Her difficulty is way more than necessary you are treated like an PHD student. Do not take this class. You are required to write a 9 page memoir single spacing comparing it with another memoir thats crazy !!!

Unless this is the only class you are taking, drop this class. There is more work than any upper level college course. There are at least two assignments due each week. She's very vague when giving feedback, and is never on campus so there are no actual office hours to have real convos. If you are a genius, or a mind reader you will do just fine.

Dr. J is one of the best professors I've encountered since 2000. This was an online class, but you can tell she cares. She has her opinions, but she wants to know our thoughts and she knows how to get them out of us. She asks questions to make us think, and when we think, we think some more. This is a great class, and I want to take more of hers.

I'm not sure why not a lot of people liked this class in the past but I thoroughly enjoyed myself and learned so much. Yes, there is a lot of reading and you have to write 3 mini papers and a big paper at the end but it really wasn't bad at all. It's college what do you expect?

In this class you will have to read more than you will have to read for 4 classes put together. Assigns extremely long papers every week. She does not explain her assignments clearly and often answers questions with questions. The reading assignments are not very focused and seem to be very opinion based, her opinion. Does not like opposing views.

These are the types of questions you get: "Hey you, what are you looking at? What are you looking for? What do you WANT to see when you look? What would looking tell you? Why? Is sex, or gender, really visible? Why or why not?" She seems very much like a lonely nut case.

This class is insane. Way too much reading on material that has nothing to with the subject, it does have to do with trying to force feminism on to everyone. If you object to this she retaliates by lowering your grades. She's the only that knows anything or at least she thinks. AVOID THIS CLASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
