Comment:
Hon. Prof. Roos prepares you well for the real world with a mix of individual and group projects. Exams apply the concepts taught in lecture and hw. He sets you up for success for these assignments in lecture and is available outside of class to troubleshoot issues. Fun class and relatively balanced workload compared to other engineering courses.

I couldn't imagine another professor teaching this course besides the prestigious Hon. Prof. Roos. He is the most gifted singer of our time and should be soon releasing an album of parody songs that he has performed. Other than that, his teaching style is relaxed and his grading is more than generous. Easy to talk to for hours on end. Great guy.

Comment:
Roos is a very self-serving prof. Hyper-masc poster child, and his insecurity in that is obvious and really embarrassing. Decided to make normal class assignments group assignments because there were "too many" assignments to grade. Ridiculous expectations for code assignments and reports for not teaching how to use MATLAB.

Comment:
The class grade basically consisted of seven numerical methods projects, and a final exam. The final exam was online, and could be retaken until you got 100%. He offered extra credit for doing the projects in more than one programming language. Lectures were direct to help with projects, and he'd often go off on good-story tangents.

Extremely cool guy, made the class which could have been very boring and made it interesting. Lectures are very helpful and useful to attend. Take the reports seriously and put some effort into them and you will get an A. Tests are kind of vague and can catch you off guard but are not hard.

Awesome professor! Genuinely cares about his students and tries to help them succeed. He was one of the very few professors in the Physics dept that wasn't trying to fail you. Too bad he is out of Physics dept now. Lectures are hilarious because he is so random. He makes difficult material relatively easy. Definitely take this professor if you can!

I highly recommend him if you have a short attention span or if you're only taking the class for the FS requirement. Sometimes he'll go off on a tangent about something comepletely unrelated to physics or throw chalk at the wall just to regain everyone's attention. He's a very funny guy, but if you're an engineering major, I recommend Dr. Driscoll.

He is a fairly easy teacher. You dont do anything in your labs and get a 100% in them. His tests arent bad and you can use a cheat sheet. Not a very good teacher but he is a very funny guy. Def choose him if you can!

Roos is awesome. Definitely the best Physics prof at Bradley. Class was always fun. Always getting off topic about something. Kept me awake to pay attention when he actually was talking about physics. uses web assign but is super lenient. extended the deadline for webassign if you ask. i didn't learn much from him at all, but easy class

Great professor. Seems to understand that college students can't always come to class and take it seriously, so sometimes holding our interest is the most important thing. I'd take this class over again just for fun!

Rooster is GREAT! One of the most entertaining teachers I've ever had, he actually made me want to come to class. Gets very off topic in class, but still gets the point across. If you have to take physics, definitely take him! No homework, but do the problems. There will more than likely be one from the book on the exam.

The Rooster was probably the best professor I've had. He makes things really clear and keeps the class fun and entertaining. He looks like he was a stud back in the day. GREAT PROF. Take Physics with him and you won't be disappointed!

Wow. His class is fun and informative. I had never taken a physics class before, but picked up on things very quickly. I attribute that to both the Rooster and the book's sample problems. Make sure you do the sample problems.

Awesome teacher, very entertaining. Lots of class time spent in space, but some teaching still done. No HW, only tests. DO PRACTICE PROBLESM! You won't get anything out of the class if you don't spend time working the book. Huray for physics!
