I had Roger in the fall term online and I am signed up again with him for another course in the winter! Roger is my favorite prof so far from university definitely recommend. I did not use the textbook however I did French immersion in highschool.

Roger is such an amazing prof! He really tries to connect with his students even during online courses. He provides lots of practice material and explains the content really well. Super accomodating and tries to make the interview as comfortable as possible. I did extremely well with little studying.

I had Roger House for online french 1502 and he was great! No complaints at all and your mark on the final can replace any midterm mark that may not as gone as planned.

the best prof you could take for an online French course. great person and very accessible! very understanding. sometimes long online lectures but his jokes make it worth it. cannot possibly give this prof enough credit!!! takes a while to get your grades back to you but other than that absolutely great guy.

Roger House is a very friendly prof. He is not too strict on deadlines. He wants everyone to succeed and is a fair grader. However, his translations exercises for french 2100 were a little too hard for a second year course. Overall, he is a really good prof

Funny and engaging lectures. Very understanding and compassionate outside of class, i.e if you need to miss a test. Cares about student success, makes expectations very clear (study guides!) and wants you to learn but not trick you. Sometimes lectures are a little all over the place but that's no big deal. Lots of good bonus french tips/wisdom.

Hands down the most amazing prof to date. I took both 1501 and 1502 with Roger and I am now heading into my 4th year French courses and he still offers to help me. He is very caring and makes it clear what will be on the tests! Could not say enough good about this prof!!

Roger was amazing. He was such a caring, charming man. Very helpful. If you mentioned to him you were unable to pass in an assignment on time he wasn't worried whatsoever. His exams are almost exactly like his practice ones. Made the class extremely easy.

I took both courses with him. As long as you go to class, read the material and notes he handed out (all on d2l too), it would be a super easy A. He cares for his students and is an easy marker. The book is dull but he made it fun and easy to learn. Oh, the bonus is that he is charming ;)

Great prof, made the material easy to learn. Posts notes on D2L before hand and they're awesome notes! Go to class and its an easy A. Even though it was a night class he always made it fun and engaging.

I can't say enough good things about Roger! I was unsure about jumping straight into 1502 from high school but he made it a great transition! Made a point to get to know you and was super nice. You can tell he really wants his students to do well. He also lets you fix grammar (etc) on compositions which really helped the learning process.

Rodger is literally the best prof ever. He is so laid back and approachable, and his explanations of things are extremely clear. He also answers emails super fast and seems to really care about his students. I would 100% take another course with him!!!!

I loved his teaching style. He was relaxed but I still learned a lot in his classes. He makes you feel comfortable in class and don't pick on people like other french profs. He's also easy on the eyes!

Roger is an amazing prof. I had him for 2100 and 2101 he has an amazing sense of humor and gives back lots of feedback on tests and assignments. If you actually do the assignments and worksheets he gives out you WILL get a 90. He's pretty sexy too :)

I really liked Roger as a prof. He is a genuine nice guy and tries his best to help you pass. I never even did French in high school and I got an A in this course. Also he's not too hard on the eyes :)
