Professor Thomas was the hardest professor I have had at SDSU. She refused to meet with me for office hours and wouldn't help me when I struggled in her class. 75% is three exams; 15% is quizzes. Challenging course and unhelpful teacher. Take this with someone else if you are able. You have to self-teach and there is A LOT of material.

Dr. Thomas is a really caring professor. My advice is to meet with her during office hours, as she will really make sure that you will understand the information. The information itself is fairly difficult, but Dr. Thomas wants to make sure that everybody understands it, which is why she is big on having us explain the information out loud.

Get ready to work! Although she provides a lot of material in lecture that you need to know, it is pretty interesting most of the time. Her lectures are very well organized and she has in class recordings of them so I would recommend watching them after class to fill in any gaps in your notes. Also, go to class because she uses course key.

She teaches straightforward the problem is there is way too much material per exam. Only three exams and they are 75% of your grade. She refused to meet with me for office hours (hard to get ahold of). Her tests are difficult but a majority of it comes from her HANDOUTS. Those are the only way I learned. Take this with someone else if you can!

You either love or hate her. The 1st time I took this class I got an F because I was struggling and just gave up. BUT I chose to repeat this class with her because I liked her straight forward class and straight forward lectures/PPTs. Yes its hard material and you need to put in the work, but study/memorize the handouts/txtbk and you'll get an A.

She is a very good person but as far as her teaching it could be better. She is a researcher and I feel with a lot of professors they don't know how to teach and break down information. Her lectures are way too long and her tests are heavy as well. She grades you on every little thing which actually can do more harm than good.

So glad I took this class with her!! She explains things in a clear and understandable way. Hardest thing about her class were the exams (70 questions) worth 75% of your grade, but don't let that scare you! Do the readings and study the handouts that she gives, and you'll do fine! Wish I had known about the handouts before taking the first exam.

Professor Thomas definitely knows her stuff, but the lectures are rather boring and hard to follow. The class is very test heavy, weighted at 75% of your grade with some quizzes and homework that don't make much of a difference. For AT majors, I don't recommend taking this along with anatomy because the you have to put in a lot of work.

I thought this class was so interesting and Professor Thomas was really passionate about the subject and it showed in her lectures. Going to class isn't mandatory accept for when she has quizzes. I just watched her lectures online and it was super helpful because you could pause and go back to things you didn't understand. Would recommend her!

It's my opinion that Dr. Thomas's lectures are really boring. She knows her stuff for sure, but I really found it hard to pay attention. Tests are kinda rough, especially if you skip class or doze off. Access code required, tons of online reading and homework. This class was okay. I didn't love the class, but I didn't drop it either.

5 Quizzes with extra credit and you are able to drop your lowest quiz score. I got 100% of all the quizzes because they are pretty clear as long as you study all the material. Reading is optional. Focus more on the powerpoints! Exams are a little more difficult but if you put in effort, you can 100% get an A! Online lectures are available

Dr. Thomas is an intelligent professor and really loves what she does. Class consisted of 3 exams and 5 quizzes and which 1 is dropped, are a few hw assignments online. I learned a lot in this class. Exams are based on lectures and handouts only, so if you study those, you are gold.

Amazing and very talented lecturer. She is super clear and makes the material even more interesting than the class already is! I cant say anything bad about this teacher and she is very knowledgable about her field. Lectures can seem long, however she records EVERY lecture and makes them available ASAP. Take this class if you enjoy Bio and psy.

Quizzes and tests are pretty much all stuff from her lectures. She uploads handouts on blackboard that pretty much sum up her lecture. Go over the lecture notes and the handouts and you should be fine. I read the book at the beginning but it isn't really necessary.

Got to be one of the best professorslecturers I had so far in my 3 years at SDSU. This class is cake! 99% of her examquiz questions are from her clear and concise (funny) lectures. There is extra-credit "homework". Do well especially on her quizzes. Grade is based on % average of all your examquiz scores. Overall fun class - it's worth it!

Best teacher ever had. You learn a lot by listening to dr. Thomas. I know that her class will help me get through life a little easier. Even though the class was difficult for me I will keep trying to understand its importance in my future . I love dr Thomas and her devotion to the subject at hand.

Very interesting class! She can seem a little unapproachable but if she knows you want to learn she is pretty helpful. Although the online portion isn't mandatory you have a lot of extra credit opportunities from it. You don't need the book and she posts lectures and handouts online and that's all you really need for tests and quizzes.

Class isn't technically that hard, but there's a lot of info which can make the tests difficult. 3 exams & 5 quizzes with the lowest being dropped. Just make sure you study & know everything on the handouts & you'll do fine. I ended up with an A in the class.
