I was so excited to take this class. I'm a science major. I don't do history but I needed it for one last history credit and I thought "100 level class? Perfect." Wrong. This class was more work than my 300 level Psych class. 2 modules a week, 8 readings, a quiz, & a 2-page discussion post each & I thought the quizzes were confusing and unfair.

This was the worst online class, please avoid! Two discussion posts, two responses, two quizzes every week, plus the ridiculous amount of reading. Just her introduction to each week is about 18 pages you have to read. 5 week classes can cover a lot, but its an unnecessary amount of work for a 100 level class.

I took this Catholic history class to fill a history credit. The class content was fine, but the work was too much at times and Scott is a harsh grader. Quizzes and reading are doable, just take notes. The paper and discussion prompts are sometimes up to 6 pages long and are confusing. There is a difficult oral midterm too.

Took this as a history class, but it's more like Christian Creative Writing. She takes 15 pages to say what she could in 4 sentences. Her grading and feedback are incomprehensible and unhelpful. She is clearly passionate, but if you aren't Catholic you will have a VERY hard time engaging with the material. Absolutely hated every second.

This professor's class will be your most time consuming class of the semester bar none. While I can tell she loves what she does, and she grades fair, the amount of work is just unbelievable. The syllabus is 15 pages long and there is a quiz on it! Be warned, of my four years at DePaul I've never had a liberal studies class so demanding of my time.

Stay as far away as you can. The workload and material are that of a master's level course. Dr. Scott means well, but every week you will be spending hours upon hours doing textbook readings, online readings, 3 weekly discussion papers, 2 video lectures, and a quiz. On top of this are an oral midterm, two 4-6 page papers, and a final exam.

I took Prof. Scott for LSP 112, Joan of Arc. There were 5 mandatory 1-2 page essays, a 5 page at the end, and a lot of reading of two books and articles about Joan. She is very silly, but passionate about her work. She is helpful in office hours and truly wants to see you understand the material and succeed.

She gives feedback and allows you to rewrite some assignments or discussion boards. That said she treats this course like it is masters level. Lots of reading and writing. Hours spent on her homework often results in not the best grade. If you have a heavy schedule do not take this class. Prepare to work hard and redo assignments.

I took this class because it is supposed to get us acclimated to college life. However, it turned out to be the hardest class of my schedule. Her grading is all over the place, and does not particularly follow her own guidelines. Have fun if you have her, the work load is insane

She's a really nice person but this was her first time teaching a freshman class in 10 years. She took the explore quarter very seriously and we were never done on time.

I took Dr. Scott for LSP 112 on Mary of Nazareth. She loved the topic, and it showed. She's a little silly, but most of the class is just lecture. She allows revisions on papers which is awesome. My only complaint is that she required a citation format for her papers that I didn't quite understand, and it caused me a lot of stress.

Definitely one of the worst professors I've had at DePaul. Her final exam was so difficult it was ridiculous, and she is super passive aggressive and rude at times. She gives random grades for papers and clearly does not know how a standard paper is written. Do not take her

Interesting class, one time homework was just walking around and thinking. I learned a lot. Dr Scott can be slightly passive aggressive with her comments but I would advise taking them with a grain of salt. The exams were fair especially if you do the reading and pay attention to the lectures. I'd recommend this class for religion or history credit

She is very nice. Please do not listen to the bad reviews, she lets you rewrite everything and is more than helpful when giving you advice. She can be a little disorganized, but that is the ONLY bad thing I would say about her class.

She is one of the most helpful professors at DePaul! Her classes are not for slackers. If you like learning to be a bit of a challenge, take her!

Uber boring, lame reading material and very tedious and repeatitive. Class consists of her talking a majority of the time for no reason.(I know why she likes to hear herself talk) Take this class only if you are willing to live only for this class!!!
