Comment:
Don't bother going to class, you're just wasting your time. Sheih just incomprehensibly mumbles from the class slides, which you could just as easily read yourself online. He it not helpful, and takes forever to release grades for assignments. Bottom line, don't take his class. If you've already taken his class, don't make the same mistake again.

You'll likely have to self teach yourself the entire course. He does not use D2L and he gives weekly assignments that are worth a total of 40% of the course. Thankfully, the assignments are not extremely difficult.

Comment:
There are no works to describe this guy. He is horrible. I think he was fluent in english once upon a time, but the man is r beyond retirement and it is shameful that the computer science department has someone like him teaching a course. I have never been so lost in class to the point where I had to STOP going. Easy grader but horrible lectures.

Comment:
Where do I begin with this guy. Firstly, I hope you can speak fluent Chinese. Secondly, as I write this he is going over the notes for an assignment that has already been done. His notes are copy pasted, missing examples (literally) and he does not post solutions because he uses the same material over again. You have to find his notes MUN's system.

I have no idea what we were supposed to learn or take out of this course. He is a funny guy that's about it. Near impossible to understand. And awful course notes that leave out everything important. Avoid.

Comment:
Horrible. HORRIBLE. Hands down one of the worst professors at MUN. He speaks some jumbled mess that can barely be called english, focuses on completely irrelevant material, and does not help you at all outside of class. Since this class is only offered in one time slot, DO NOT TAKE IT if Sheih is in it. Wait until another prof is teaching it.

Comment:
Had him for 3725 and 3754. The department should be ashamed of this guy. Completely and utterly useless. Not only is he an incompetent instructor but his focus is on the wrong material entirely. Avoid at all costs, even if it means graduating late!

Comment:
Sheih may be a nice guy to talk to outside the classroom, however he's very ineffective in trying to teach, regardless of the material. He reads straight from slides (which I have done a better job of myself) and his English is not very good at all. It's impossible to get answers to anything, so see him as much as possible to get any info you can.

Completely useless to have him as a prof. I could not understand him no matter how much I tried. Though he does try to teach, you will end up teaching the material to yourself. He does not provide solutions to the assignments because he reuses them from term to term. Oh! And get a copy of the mid-terms from a friend... will help

How can a university hire a professor like this? He can't speak English. We speak the language of English in Newfoundland. Eeeeesssaaahhh Commputaaaah Scieeeeence. Neh. Neh. Neh. Could be the best researcher on campus but a useless English Computer Science course professor.

His english is very poor and this results in ineffective lectures. He is easy to deal with and does want to help. If you read ahead of the lectures you can understand more of what he is saying in class. Easy marker. He is better than most other CS profs at MUN.
