Dr. Rompkey is a tough professor, but an excellent teacher who cares about his students' understanding of the course material. He's very helpful, especially when you show interest and insight. There are few As to be had in his class - but he's fair and not the hardest marker in the department, by any means.

Found Dr R to be a great teacher! Showed interest in students, and knew his stuff. I still hate "Tristram Shandy", though!!!! But loved the class in general.

I really like Dr. Rompkey, his lectures are funny, insightful, and helpful despite the boring material. He's not a bad marker, but the tests can be pretty daunting - I had waste a quarter of my writing time figuring out the questions and which books to write about on the midterms and final.

One of the best profs I've ever had. Very funny and interesting, and he enjoys the material. Not the easiest marker, but do your work and come to class, and you'll do well. He's also very approachable if you need help.

Arrogant, sort of. Helpful, somtimes. Just depends on what kind of day he's having I guess. For the most part he's an excellent prof. Really clear lectures, and is willing to help students so long as they show interest. It's a 3000 level course, so you should know what you're getting yourself into.

I enjoyed this professor a lot. I found that yes he was boring at times, and his lectures sometimes turned into "storytime," but overall he was great. plus he used to teach highschool, so he actually TEACHES you stuff!

Easy marker, but oh so boring and pretentious. And the seating arrangement?! It's post-secondary, not elementary school.

If you can ignore the arrogance and get past the 'better than thou' attitude its not that bad. Material is interesting, he explains concepts well, his papers are short and he marks easy. Just ignore the attitude....

The most pretensious professor I ever had the displeasure of having! His marking is ridiculous, and he talks down to us students as if were complete idiots. He always tends to favour the older middle age students.

he is not a good prof at all, does not prepare you for a 3000 level course at all, very arrogant and picks favorites at the beginning and if you are not one of them you will not do well. I have went from 80's to 60's and 70's.
