Awful. Has a good head for econ but no idea how to teach. He is not at all helpful when asked for assistance. Be prepared to redo assignments for no particular reason. He won't tell you what's wrong with it, and his grades are inconsistent. If you want a good grade, redo all your assigns and go to his office hours to show you're working hard.

The fact that I enjoy economics is the only reason I made it through the class. The class is not engaged whatsoever and the class consists of lectures. Convoluted lectures and some meaningless assignments. Intermittent with his grading style and very monotone. Great business man and educated, large downfall in conveying his knowledge to a class.

Easy to understand vocally (he has an accent but its not too bad. However he very easily will get off track and will sit there and ask the same question many times. Spouts random statistics that may or may not be true.

Goes off topic A LOT!! If you want to learn anything about econ don't take him. Only plus is he lets you redo all assignments & tests. Very boring. Arrogant. I would never recommend anyone to take his classes.

i dont see why everyone says he has bad english. He has fine grammar and not nearly as heavy of an accent as many other foreign profs. I have him for a quad and i dont much mind that he goes off topic for a while it is always economics related and interesting. for having a 4hr econ class it could be a lot worse. hes nice about answering questions

Arrogant, unhelpful, biased grading, unstructured, brags and name-drops, wastes time talking about irrelevant topics. It's an alright class if you just want to hear about the weather and sustainable business.

If you don't pay any attention to except to copy down the graphs he puts on teh board, you can still get an A in the class no problem. Be prepared for half-hour rants on toyota and how Japan is better than America. You'll learn nothing from him, but he does give you the test as ths stufy guide...

Not easy to understand anything about economics, not clear in class at all, not helpful.after the*entire class*has to do numerous rewrites of your homework, maybe your not explaining WHAT YOU WANT FROM YOUR STUDENTS!Awful class, shouldn't be a prof.

very smart guy. once you get over his japanese accent, it's smooth sailing. he gives you the test to take home and look up the answers and study, then you take the real test. EASY!

This guy is a genius for economics. However, his human relations skills are a total zero. He assigns assignments that look easy at first but then he makes up guidelines that are to be followed along the way (like after u turn in ur paper and he makes u rewrite it 3 times).

not very good English, can't understand him, lots of grammatical errors, offtopic, not helpful, it's as if you are in another country taking a class. He's a nice, knowledgable guy outside of class, but a very very bad teacher.

Hope you guys are becoming teachers because you get a lot of practice in this class teaching yourself. Too bad there aren't any hints or clues. Just all out BS. Very intelligent and knowledgeable, just sucks as a teacher. Plain and simple!
