Comment:
Don't willingly take this professor. During a test, he decided it was a great time to listen to a Korean reality TV show. While the audio played aloud from his computer was quiet, it was still heard throughout the room and was very distracting. Needless to say, he lacks empathy for students.

Don't waste your time. He spends too long lecturing and it makes it difficult to get the lab done on time. He's condescending to those who don't understand concepts, so don't bother trying to ask him anything because he'll get mad rather than actually answer your question. He then proceeds to mark you down for anything and everything. Beware.

I had him for lab, and I must say he is one of the worst professors I've had the displeasure of knowing at this school. He spends the first half of lab talking, and if anyone asks him a question later on he snaps and them and says they didn't pay attention in some previous lab. He is arrogant and obnoxious, and he'll mark you down for anything.

Ming Wang is great! Dont listen to other reviews! The exams were open book/open notes! Take notes of what he says and youll pass with ease. The final just takes old questions from other exams, just different numbers. Just put in some effort and youll pass. He offers so much extra credit. I go to GV, and it was the easiest class Ive ever taken.

A substantial amount of effort is required to pass this class. The problem is that the resources available do not match up. Online homework (ExpertTA) is complete garbage. Practice, Homework and Quizzes do not match each other, nor do they match the lecture. ExpertTA tells me "wrong answer." Ok. Why? Give me something for Christ's sake.

Comment:
Hard to understand sometimes. Does not explain well. Online homework doesn't always match up with what you learn. Don't ask questions unless you want to feel stupid for asking. He does give you solutions that do help but sometimes the quizzes are above what you learned so just expect to get it wrong. The quiz doesn't always match the homework.

Horrible Horrible professor. He knows his stuff but cannot teach it worth anything. Gives tons of homework that is online( which by the way you have to pay for) does not explain things well and only gives a couple examples that doesnt even help a ton with the homework. Hard to get to help you outside of class. Doesnt care if you fail.

This class requires A LOT of work. Everything bad you've read about him on this site is true. LOTS of homework on Mastering Physics. Does give "study guides" for tests, gives EC for attendance but overall WORST teacher at GRCC. Did not learn a single thing. Sad that my last credit at CC had to be so awful. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Hard class. Becareful not to let the open book test fool you. This class requires hour of work for homework that is only 10% of your grade. Tread carefully.

A Teacher that focuses on giving many assignments online over teaching inclass. Class requires calculus and says it does not require calculus even though the original class description does not mention calculus as a prereq. To its credit, it says it requires critical thinking, problem solving, but the tests are harder because of its requirements.

He's an okay teacher- nice but when you ask him a question, he makes you second guess yourself and, for me, didn't want to really ask him anymore questions. Make sure you do your hw, you can google almost all of it and it gives you a nice grade buffer. Can use notes and book on tests. Multiple choice ?'s on tests confused me so know the concepts.

Dr. Wang is one of the most arrogant human beings I have ever encountered. I do not understand why he is a teacher. The man has zero patience and tolerance for questions of any type. I worked countless hours to receive the grade that I did and I still only understand half the material. YOU WILL END UP TEACHING YOURSELF from the book. DO NOT TAKE

I love physics and it is a class that can be taught in a really exciting manner. Not with this class. It might as well be an online class. It's robotic. Nothing but numbers and arithmetic for 2 hours of lecture. He records himself, so if you have a question, you have to wait until the end of class to ask it. I'm very disappointed.

Thank God he only does labs. Despite having a Ph.D, he works below Cebelak who only has an M.S. There is a reason for this. I've never seen someone turn a 45 minute lecture into an eternity in hell like Ming wang. He barely speaks english which is probably why Cebelak types an entire lecture on the lab papers each week. Just read his instructions.

Hell. Everynight you have to do like 8 hours of homework minimum, and guess what he puposly makes sure that the questions on the tests are nothing like the homework. But one interesting fact I had my appendix removed three days before the final, and he suddenly went from the answer is obvious to actually helping me. Odd huh?

Fun and interesting, but he is blunt. I have given many hours to this course and I still think I may fail. I am trying everything to succeed and he tells me if you don't understand physics, I can't make you. He is harsh, for a 100 level course he teaches it like it is a 400 level. Hoping I can succeed in the end.

Tells students that they are stupid or dumb on a regular basis, no help, can not use internet for tests anymore. 1 hour tests take 2.5 - 3 hours. Avoid him at all costs (even though hes the only GRCC professor who teaches it)

Man, this class is a lot of work. Not for 'sports majors' like myself. Close to an hour's worth of homework a night. If you go to class everyday he'll raise your grade one higher. I had a C+ going into the final exam, but bombed it and my final was a D+. Exam is harder than the open note exams (most answers are online). I wouldn't recommend him.
