He's a bit eccentric and his assignments are easy. I missed some classes and still got an A. Honestly only upper level history class I got an A in and not because I was an amazing student he's just an easy grader.

He's an interesting character. At first he's hard to understand because he's kind of all over the place at first, but make sure to take notes, and follow the directions for the assignment. If you do that you'll get a B. If you go above what he asks you'll get an A, Ive had him 3x and would probably take one of his classes again.

He is awesome. He teaches history unlike any other teacher. class participation is optional he is very understanding of every student. Has a "hippy" way of thinking and teaching which makes the class very interesting. Class is more than handouts and readings, he shows movies and songs and teaches students how to analyze them also.I would take again

I loved this professor so much. He made learning so much more fun and I actually looked forward to coming to his class. there were these 2 in front of my complete that would CONSTANTLY complain on how horrible he is. One actually said he wanted him to change the exam! Grow up kids this is college. I will take him in the future if i can!

Professor is the oen of the best professors I have had. He really teaches you how to historically analyze topics and understand all of the complexities. Textbooks are very good, and he often changes up class to make things more interesting. Due dates and assignent dates are flexible to the class's needs. Papers are the method of examination.

If you come to class and pretend to be interested, you will get a good grade.Hand in your work even if it is all bs and you should do alright.No tests that I can remember. Sometimes he gets a little weird. We played finger puppets in class once.Don't take him if you want to learn history, because you wont.

This man is a terrible teacher. I learned nothing from him all year. His directions for assignments are very unclear, and I never got grades back for any of the essays I completed despite asking him multiple times. This class was miserable for me and I LOVE history. You do not need to go to class to pass. In the end I got a B+.

Terrible professor! He doesnt teach anything, his topics are all over the place, and he assigned papers but never gave the grades back till the very end of the semester. His class was a giant waste of time and id avoid him at all costs. If you want to actually learn ANYTHING relevant don take him.

Had him for Senior Seminar. Let students on thier own to write the paper. Could write on whatever we wanted and only 20-25 pages. No other stupid assignment, just write the paper. Very un-clear on due dates, assigned outline/bibliography/ect but never collected them. Only collected the final paper. Write to the liberal viewpoint and your set.

If you have a chance take his classes. Sure he's a little unorthodox but the man is a great teacher who makes you think outside of the box. He really helped me understand that history is not just about books but those who lived it. One of the best I've ever had.

Don't take his class!!!! VERY unclear, you basically never know what you are supposed to do. He answers your questions with questions and is not understanding about needing extra help. The entire experience of his class was frustrating and very stressful.

I took him for a 400 level class. Compared to other upper level history courses, he is easy because he doesn't assign much to do. The problem though is that his class structure is so liberal that it gets annoying. I had no idea what my grade would be at any point, and some of the discussions were too far out there for any mental progress.

I want to jump off a bridge! I am in his class right now and he is so boring and unclear about everything. There isnt much work to turn in except right now we have an IMPOSSIBLE midterm that is odd format and a research paper that is rediculusly formatted!I really hate my life just dont do it to yourself!Everyone in the class would say the same!
