Comment:
He told us on the first day of class that his goal is to get us out of the major. It was really disappointing that he thought so little of our journey to find a major that fit our needs. A grievance was filed and his behavior improved for about 2 classes but then he went back to acting like he wanted to be anywhere but our class.

Comment:
Dr. Green is a very engaging lecturer and made me appreciate history in a new way. That being said, he is very arrogant and unkind and on more than one occasion berated a student for making a polite request regarding adding extra assignments last-minute. Not a good representation of the character that most Covenant professors embody.

I loved Dr. Green, and I'm really sad that I won't have him in the fall. He's a really great professor, challenging - seriously, get ready to work - please don't underestimate this - but you should totally take him.

Absolutely FANTASTIC professor. I was genuinely excited to go to class, and his lectures are incredible. He has a real desire to educate students on different points of view from world history. Advice: fill in the study guides with all the class notes for that topic, not just two-sentence definitions from wiki. Takes longer but pays off.

After graduation I find that Dr. Jay Green was probably the most realistic and difficult professor I have studied under. He is shear quality and works to provide students with what they need to achieve in life whether they want to at the time or not. Great Professor

His lectures are inspiring and captivating; this is saying a lot when the topic is explaining the technicalities of a research paper! Do not be deceived by the "one hundred level" Intro class- it is a lot of hard work.

Vacillates across that fine line between genius and insanity, but it makes you just love him even more. Probably one of the most helpful and most influential professors in my life. He is pretty tough, but if you keep up and love what you are doing, you will be fine. Probably the only teacher I have ever had who taught cross legged on a desk.
