Very insightful and interesting lectures. Tries to tie almost everything into modern day topics. Can be dull in terms of course material, but she does her best to make the constitution bearable. Very sweet and welcoming.

Comment:
The Capstone with Dr. King was great. She really tries to open the class up to topics that we are interested in, rather than lecturing us on what she think is relevant. Sometimes, this lent itself to the class falling of the rails with very crazy class arguments, but most of the time it was very fun and insightful. Great, respected professor.

Very knowledgeable on Media and politics. Her lectures can be long but she loves students who participate. She has quite a few SMALL papers and then one large research paper. All the papers are pretty easy and come straight from the readings.

At the beginning of the semester she said there would be discussion but I assure you there is none. Every class was just one long lecture that hardly pertained to any of our tests or papers. Attendance was mandatory so bring headphones. Even after studying for 1.5 weeks before tests I got B's and I'm an A student typically. Don't take..

She is awesome! No cumulative final, just 3 midterms, 2 papers. Fill out study guid and your fine. Very sweet and pretty funny. She really cares about the students and how well they are doing. Tries her best to make it interesting. Honestly slept just about every day and did just fine and she didn't mind that or if you miss because of a good reason

Took Professor King for the pls capstone, and I would definitely take her again! She's really helpful and nice. Fairly easy grader, but she admits that she's picky with the grammarspellingmechanics, so revising your papers is a must. Grading is three content papers, a reflection paper, a resume, and a grade for participation. I recommend her!

Professor King is the best professor I've had at GV and I'd recommend her a thousand times over. Take her if given the opportunity, especially if you're a PLS major! She's incredibly intelligent about the subject!

I liked Dr. King. She's very smart and definitely knows what she's talking about. As far as grading goes, I thought she was pretty leinient. There was one paper and three essay exams, kind of a lot of writing but not too bad.

Class is very boring, she rambles on and on about the same basic concepts. A good intro class though if you know NOTHING about research. A very nice prof. though.

If you're taking this class for a theme... DON'T! I found this class excruciatingly boring. I hated going. She's a nice enough lady... but rambles on and on, doesn't encourage class discussion, and doesn't make any topic interesting (even though a lot had the potential). I would not ever take her again, or recommend her.

Professor King is incrediably helpful, and really wants you to learn. She is sometimes unclear about things, and can ramble on about things that don't matter, but as long as you print out your notes, and study for the tests, you'll do fine. Warning, she grades the tests a little harder than you may expect, study!

The class is easy. She gives review guides for exams, and homework is for completion grades. She posts the notes online before class, so you can follow along. Class is very boring, but she is nice. I wouldn't take her again just because class is so boring, but i would recommend her for an easy A.
