Definitely not worth your time or effort. I learned more in world issues in gr 12 about globalization and geopolitics. she is very unclear and rambles on during her lectures, therefore making it extremely boring and difficult to follow along. Terrible marker. Class average on the midterm was a 55% and she said she was disappointed in us LOL.

Very friendly, open, and supportive of students. Pay attention and keep up with the material—don’t skip lectures! Makes the course very rich with interesting information. Textbook was helpful supplementary material. Before each exam, she provides a review package that will save your grade and steer you in the right direction for studying.

She cares about her students but this class is too hard for a liberal. She doesn't post pictures or graphs on her slides so you will have to go through many articles to get important info when studying. The short answer and essay question were marked very harshly. I attended every single class and still did not do as ell as I hoped.

Very kind and sweet women who cares about her students a lot & wants everyone to do well. If you come to class & do readings, you will do fine. One essay, one midterm, one exam. I recommend Sue for this class.

Everyone complaining probably never went to class and failed...She is great & really cares about her students. Sure she is a difficult marker & her tests can be a tricky for a liberal course, but if you attend class/study you will be fine. She tries her hardest to make her students succeed, like giving more percentage to higher grades you receive.

The course material is kind of interesting to me.. But the professor made exam horrible for students. Her lecture and exam were not focus on text book, you need read the online articles or videos she posed on the slides to perform well on exam. No marking rubric and clearly guides for essay assignment. The average mark for essay is B-. Horrible

Horrible class and she doesn't prepare you at all. You have to in love with Geography to pass the course. On an essay she gave me 69%, which isn't based on any rubric what so ever, she just felt like it's worth 69. Run and don't bother taking this class!

Interesting class. She was frazzled and sometimes could just not spit out what she was trying to say. That said, you sometimes watch documentaries in class so it's not terrible. You NEED the textbook, the midterms are all based on her lectures but the final is ONLY on the book

She posts the lectures online so you don't really have to go to class. There are 2 midterms, an essay and a final exam. The midterms were 10% each (need to study! from the notes). Just got back my essay and got 92% on it(worth 40%) The TAs marked generously but that doesn't mean you don't have to try. Overall, this was an easy course if you study.

One of the most kind and considerate professors I have had. She makes class fair for those who attend and is really helpful for students who need clarification. Her lectures weren't very exciting, but neither was the topic - good use of video clips though.

Good prof, but not one of the best. She is a decent marker and the tests are okay as long as you study. Attendance is not really mandatory however - seeing as how she posts all the notes online and most diagrams are in the textbook.
