I can honestly say that I walk away from lecture knowing absolutely nothing. His teaching style is VERY scattered so it's impossible to take good notes or even follow what he is saying. He seems very knowledgable, but I just don't think he makes a good teacher.

Good luck keeping up in class. 7 weeks simply isn't enough time to learn CHM111. he knows what he's talking about, but he doesn't slow down to explain anything. His tests are not a good representation of what was taught most of the time. Be prepared to spend at least 12 hours to study for a test and expect a low C.

This is a difficult course. After reading reviews I was skeptical of taking his class. Go to class, take good notes, do all of his supplemental materials on D2L ( slides and problems) and you will be fine - Dr. Warner knows chemistry. Do not make the mistake of not following along with the type of problems worked in class - work lots of problems

Dr. Warner was a great instructor for the class. He is very knowledgeable about the subject and willing to help with questions. You have to put in your own work for the class as it is a difficult subject. He is not there to spoon feed the students the material and nor should he be. I would recommend him to anyone for chemistry.

After reading this website before the class, I was concerned about taking this class. I have to say however Keith Warner is an excellent instructor. This is not a class where you can rely on the lecture to get you through & it is fast moving. Study the text & the suggested 2nd language book, work tons of practice problems & be prepared for class.

Let me just start off by saying that I was planning on being a pharmacist. After this class,I'm considering changing my career. He's the kind of professor that knows his material, but doesn't know how to translate it so that other people can understand it as well.He is not helpful when you ask questions, he just tells you to look it up in the book.

Dr. Warner is that type of instructor that expects you to do your part as a student. He comes across as a hardass at first, but grows on your over time. He stays on topic, breezes through the material. He is quite lenient in his grading and partial credit on tests. I wish more instructors kept this level of professionalism.

He taught Organic this semester and it was pretty difficult, as expected. He goes fast in his lectures, so prepare by reading the chapters before class; wish I had done that. He doesn't seem that helpful outside of class; I felt like I was interrupting him. However, he is very gracious in his grading and partial credit. And the final was EASY!

HORRIBLE. I am not posting this because I failed or because we didn't get along. He is actually very entertaining. He is just extremely hard. 4 test, including the final, no outlines, study guides, or quizes. Not fair on tests.

Dr. Warner is the best teacher here at Trident. He makes chemistry relate to everyday stuff so it is not boring. I didn't really like chemistry before but after taking 110 and 111 with him i love chemistry

In Dr. Warner's defense, his attitude may be a result of conditioning by students in the area. There are a lot of students who don't even attempt to understand the material, expecting him to somehow magically implant it into their heads. After years of this I can see how it would be easy to become frustrated & assume all students are like this.

Does not allow his students to ask questions without being ridiculed and/or humiliated. Consistently late. Doesn't explain material well. Absolutely do NOT take Dr. Warner if this is your first chemistry class. You will be miserable the entire semester!
