He is a little all over the place at first, but once you get the hang of it he's fine. He's goofy as hell which helps with the boringness of the class. He never uses the text in class but if you read along on your own time, 30% of the questions on the exam is right from the text and 70% are from notes. All you have to do is show up to class.

You cant understand a word he says...his voice goes high and low and he stares at you like you have six heads and thats only because no one has a clue about what hes saying. use the text book to understand whats going on in class or find a really smart kid to copy off of. otherwise - your screwed if you take this man. one good thing -- hes goofy.

I mean its physics so you have to study a little. Go to class take notes and listen to him and he will answer all of ur questions. His tests a re a little diffictult but he curves each one like 8 points so there not to bad. One howwork assignment a week which are kinda easy adn bring up ur grade. Final is easy, just study the test.

Horrible professor. Knows his subject matter but flies through the material without consideration that not everyone learns at the same pace. Often the equations he uses in class aren't the ones that are on his exams. Very tough grader. AVOID HIS CLASS IF POSSIBLE

If you take Passwaters, be prepared to teach everything to yourself straight from the textbook because you won't learn anything in class. He's definitely aware of his teaching method though because the tests are not that hard compared to what he goes over in class so don't be intimidated. Also, the worksheets barely (if at all) affect your grade.

Dr. Passwaters is a very nice man, and he knows what he is talking about, but he goes through subjects that should require more time and attention at lightning paces so you could miss a lot. Overall I enjoy his classes and the content is interesting, but if you are looking for a class you can skip, then you should skip this proffessor.

The chem portion of this class is tough to begin with, but this guy has no idea how to speak to students. I was almost afraid to ask questions b/c he'd answer them in scientist-speak. He doesn't seem to care that people don't "get it" -- he thinks it's b/c we should have studied more, when really it's due to his crappy teaching.

Nice Guy. Awful teacher. He lacks any knowledge about appropriate teaching methods. He is a good example of why content knowledge alone is not adequate to be certified to teach. Any questions that I asked were answered using jargen. There is however, a design flaw in the chemistry portion of this class. There is too much information to be covered..

Very nice guy, very enthusiastic about the subject, but not so clear and difficult to understand. Assigments were fairly simple but exams were hard to study for even with supplements. Not my strong side, so I knew this class would be difficult for me, and as much as I enjoyed Dr. Passwaters, I did not enjoy the class.

i'll start out saying something good..He's a nice man and means well, but he is a HORRIBLE teacher. He does not know how to explain the material to students. Very unclear and hard to understand. I would NEVER take him again or recommend him to anyone..
