Double standards times one billion. Russo preaches social justice, but doesn't practice it herself.

Pat Russo is smart but believes no one is smarter than she. She's like the Admiral Akbar of opinions: Don't say what you think, it's a trap! Do the work and you'll be fine and pretty much pretend what she says is clearly changing your life.

Pat is probably the best professor I've ever had. She completely changed my outlook on school, on the education system, as well as on myself. It stinks that she only teaches education courses because she is one of those people who could make a positive impact on many lives. If you get the chance, take one of her courses. Highly recommended.

Great professor. She does a great job of asking questions that really make you think about the topic that is going on in class. Make sure that you do the homework because your notes will really help you on the tests. Also do the reading because your learning logs and exam questions can help boost your grade.

Theres about 4 books you need for class but they are 50 bucks or less Only required to do half of the readings she gives All readings are put into a learning log which counts for about 40 percent of your final grade She allows the first 20-30 mins of each class open to any questions People talk about news stories or general questions or concerns A+

She has some pretty progressive ideas and has some pretty wild interpretations of the education system in terms of equality and ideologies. She is a good teacher, but make sure you form your own opinions after hearing what she says. Take everything she says with a BIG portion of salt. She does make some good points though.

I really enjoy this class. Russo gives you new ways to think about things and if you disagree with her, she still lets you voice your own opinion. I really liked the topics we talked about as well. It opens your eyes to new ways of thinking. Very fun, take Russo over any other EDU 301 professor....

I enjoyed her class as much as one can enjoy an education class. I am a guy and I got an A in the class so don't buy that she is bias. Just work hard and do the assignments. I don't agree with everything she says, but I kept an open mind.

Russo is rude & won't accept anyone else's opinion. Her assignments are stupid--the newsclipping notebooks & the field placement portfolio were RIDICULOUS. I never want to read another newspaper again because of her. I learned nothing in this class & I hated going to it. I was sick of listening to Russo & I learned nothing about being a teacher.

Got a B- in this class. I was put on the spot until I finally gave in and humbly participated with what I feel is right. (Didn't match her opinions) Doesn't know what teaching in secondary schools is really like--she just hopes her students will take her highly opinionated beliefs and activities to their classroooms.

This class is not that hard. Russo can be tough on her beliefs of social justice, which is a good thing. You will learn SO MUCH in her class. Just don't take the opinionated comments too personal.
