Mahmood is an amazing professor. He's very engaging and has forced me to become a better student. Skills I've learned from him, in his class have carried over to other classes. Highly recommend taking him. Sad to see him leaving.

I took AP ECON in high school and that did not prepare me for this class. I was not very good at ECON to begin with but this class was very hard to me. Mamood has a very different style of teaching, if you do not take things to heart he is a nice man. Overall if you do not need to take this class for your major do not take it. Also go to SLA.

Mamood is INCREDIBLE. A lot of people don't like him or will say that he's rude or sarcastic, but he just wants all of his students to care about the subject and learn something rather than goof off all class. You will never be bored from his lectures. Prepare to study hard. He has tons of study material and resources on his Blackboard, too.

Mamood is an awesome teacher. Some people don't like him because he makes bad jokes and yells at you when you get a question wrong but it's nothing to get upset about. It's his way of teaching. He teaches you what you need to know and skips over the unnecessary. All of his notes are posted on blackboard so if you put in effort, you will pass.

Be prepared to WORK for a good grade. Don't skip class either, he takes 20 points away automatically. Mahmood forces you to pay attention during his class and is extremely engaging, but it is not an easy topic so don't expect to breeze through. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK. I didn't open it once, he covers everything you need to know himself.

Mahmood is by far the most engaging and entertaining professor I have ever had. By constantly requiring students to speak and solve problems, he ensures that every student is paying full attention. The one thing that I would say is that people who are easily offended should not take this class, as he can be pretty colorful. Don't take it seriously

Mahmood in this class was always changing, sometimes Mahmood would be bored, but then Mahmood would change because of the professor yelling and telling you to THINK! Mahmood about Economics is changed and I feel like this professor helped Mahmood change daily. Amazing professor that will change your mood too. Not an easy A, but TAKE HIM!

His humor keeps the class awake & attentive. He engages the students, he challenges us. He'll talk for 30 minutes, giving you tons of information to make assumptions about a topic, then in one sentence will completely blow your mind and reconfuse you all over again. Unlike most professors, HE MAKES YOU THINK. HES BRILLIANT. Mahmood is mahman!

You don't NEED the book, but it can be helpful. Mahmood is controversial to say the least. He makes colorful remarks and can be quite insulting to certain groups of people - but it depends on the day. He'll insult the Chinese one day, then the Americans the next! It just depends on the material. HE IS THE MOST ENGAGING PROF. IVE EVER HAD.

This is by far one of the worst teachers I have ever had. He confuses the students and himself constantly and makes a lot of racial jokes. His accent is very thick and gets upset when you don't understand him. I would not recommend anyone take this course with him..

Mahmood is a teacher that creates an engaging classroom experience. He knows what he teaches and puts his full effort into making sure that you grasp the concept. If you are afraid to speak up, you may be slightly intimidated but you will learn alot if you step outide of your own boundaries. Mahmood pushes you to succeed. I would recommend him!

Best teacher I've had in all my college classes. He uses bad language and is disrespectful of certain groups of people. Of that I do not approve. But he teaches in a way that made me remember the material. I did not buy the textbook. Just went to every class, listened well, and studied my notes before exams. Mahmood knows how to teach!

Best professor. He is funny and engaging. Be forewarned, if you don't pay attention in class, he will call on you. He is unconventional and it is fantastic. Class can be challenging, but he is very helpful.
