Comment:
Judy knows most of the material she teaches but exercises profound bias, personal and academic, in her class. I can appreciate controversy, but she's opinionated to the point of careless offense, with little tolerance for objection. History's my favorite subject, especially early civ, but I took my only "W" in her class and found another teacher.

Very boring. Not helpful and almost as if she did not want you to do well. If you didn't already seem interested about history or know a lot about what she was saying she didn't like you. Totally lecture and requires tons of notes to do well. She grades hard.

BORING class. No effort was made to make this class intereasting for those who do not enjoy history. Very rude on top of that. This is a lecure class. You do nothing but take notes for this class and are marked down if you don't show up to this extremely boring class. Tests are essay questions and she grades hard.

This is a lecture class. You MUST take notes and MUST read the chapters to understand the course content in order to do well on the mid-term & final. I didn't like the style of this class-I feel like it could have been more interactive. List of possible test questions were given out about 2 class sessions before the tests. Lots of studying required

All she did for 2 hours was read to us straight from her notes and made attendance mandatory and marked you down if you didn?t go to her uninteresting class. I was disappointed because I really was fascinated with history until I took her class. I didn?t learn a thing in class, and when it came to the exams I had to teach myself.

I took this history class and my self esteem immediately went from high to rock bottom. Her sense of humor is so terrible my face was straight the entire time aside from dozing off from her boring lectures which she copy/pasted from wikipedia. Unless you want to lose knowledge consider another "professor"

Probably the worst instructor I've had @ WCC so far. Avoid at all costs. If she so much as sees a cellphone, the sky will rumble and the Earth will shake. Thinks she's funny, but the only joke I recognized was her teaching. Class is 100% her talking and you taking notes. Easy class, otherwise a waste of time/money

worst teacher i've had in a long time, rambled on about her views on pointless subjects and lectured the entire class. only upside is the class is really easy if you can stand it, she usually only takes attendance wednesdays, tests are easy, i googled all the questions and studied them, didnt open the textbook or take notes once.

Alright, i never missed class and got a 98 percent on the midterm but was woke up sick the day of the final. Her sylabus states if you notify her the day you missed you can retake the exam, so i was not worried. However she responded in a rude email saying i would not be able to take the exam. So shes smart but not honest.

Judy is a GREAT professor. She loves history, and Rock and Roll. She sometimes goes off on random tangents, some are funny, some make you go WHAT? If you ask questions and are wiling to put in the time she will help you, just ask.

harlock thinks that she is the most important teacher in the world. the class was completely, 100% lecture. she values herself way too highly for a community college professor. i do NOT recommend taking her class unless you like biased rambling by a rude woman obsessed with history.

I felt this teacher gave her opinions on subjects too freely. I was more afraid of letting my cell phone ring in this class than getting a bad grade on a test. Class is easy, 2 exams 1 review. Dont even buy the book. I felt like she thought her class was the most mportant in the whole school. Kind of an annoying person. This is a bird course though

Easy class. Biased, and rambles a bit. Is biased and moderate conservative, but good with individuals. Different perspective than the usual liberal teachers. Also, EASY class. No need to take notes, just pretend research study questions before test. Ignore 4 of them, because you choose 5 of 9 on the test. Uses same book every year. Don't be late.

This teacher was by far one of the worst I've ever had. She took quite a disliking to me, and though I guess I can't prove it, she did take it out on grading my final report. She also brings a wonderful touch of racism and bias to the class. I do not recommend her class to anyone.

judy is a good teacher. It is like a high school class. Go to class take the notes well. Grade is based on essay tests. She lectures the entire quarter straight through the class. If you love history its a good class. I was interested in history but didnt get much out of this class. Boring.

Extremely biased, teaches bible history slyly as fact, ridiculously boring, annoying voice, taught history as if we already knew every detail and was reviewing it, spent too much time on her own life, and hates fiction and TV.

EASY CLASS. If you don't like classes where the professor talks the whole time - Do Not Take This One! - Other than that this class is simple. Show up, take some notes. There were two quizzes - Midterm & Final - as well as two essays - Book Review & Roman Province review - and that is all. I did not even buy the book for the class.

Don't take this one if you want class discussion and no lectures. That said, class is straightforward, entertaining, and if you take 101, 102 and 103 with her, history will make a lot more sense. Not a ton of work required, only two tests. Didn't have to read the book at all, and she uses the same book for all three classes. Plus she's nice.

Basically lecture with no film clips or group work. On the first day of class she informed us that most people our age couldn't write. Biased, makes fun of French, rambles. Had class on inauguration day and she didn't show it in class or offer to let us out early. Didn't seem interested the historical event.
