Comment:
This is a professor where I would encourage you not to attend. You would get the same amount of learning in his lectures as you would just reading his lecture slides at home. He can be boring at best or draining at worst. I had interest in urban planning before taking his class, and while the material was interesting his way of teaching was abysmal

I went in to the final with a perfect class score. The final was dead easy, so I assumed I had an A+ in the bag. Nope. I arranged with him to see where I went wrong. On two questions that I answered correctly, I got 310 points because I figured out faster ways to get the answer than what he expected. He wouldn't budge on my grade either. Idiot.

Not a good professor. Very boring. Unfair marker, expect to be penalized multiple times for a single mistake. Not very bright either. His textbook is also awful... the backing actually began to fall apart after a single use. Avoid!

Are you serious man? Do you expect us to remember the lecture slides to the point of perfection? I mean, how can I remember all slides to the point of all words and orders to match exactly (I really mean it) the same as I would put on the exam?

Really soft spoken and a quiet speaker, you can barely understand what he`s saying. The class is extremely boring, but it`s easy enough to get a good mark if you do all the problems and do the assignments by yourself.

SO BORING. Worst lectures in eng, not useful. Just read the notes and study it all yourself, it's quicker that way. I know we all make fun of accountants for being boring but come on! Assignments, took too long to do. Too much workload in already-busy semesters. Midterm and exam, just like the assign's. A stupid hurdle for B.Eng's to jump through.

Boring. HORRIBLE power point slides, they look like a crayon box upchucked on them. Good for getting extra help on assignments and such though.

Communication skills are non-existent. Lecture slides are a disgrace to the engineering profession. Your knowledge in the material has very little effect on your mark, minor mistakes are penalized with large deductions. While he may appear to grasp the English language, basic communication and comprehension are very limited.

I got an A, but I only went to about 20-25% of the classes. I just found my attention wasn't held. Maybe because he's soft-spoken, maybe because he didn't add much to the slides in class... By the end of the term it felt more like accounting than economics. I guess that's more a critique of the class than the prof, but there you have it.

Talks a lot without much content (explains graphs by reading the axis titles) and uses unhelpful analogies. Very sensitive to formality (always well-dressed and punctual, and expects formally formatted assignments). Cooperative with assignment remarking.

1) Boring, he doesn't know how to teach, and he doesn't know what is he teaching (I know that cuz he couldn't answer a student when he asked "whats the point of this subject or that method") 2) insanly unhelpfull, the guy doesn't answer any questions during the incredibly hard exams. A word of advice, take the course in the winter with prof Zalok.

thought provoking when given an open subject brief, but when its too specific like a course subject it can get boring, trying seeing this guy 1 on 1, he can make you think and motivate you to do work

speaks very quietly. just reads off powerpoint slides; incredibly boring class. he would be a great prof in a small group, more of a seminar setting, i think. good assignments and midterm, BRUTAL final. everyone i know dropped a full grade point (ie. A to B) on the final.

The course itself is the easiest in engineering. He read the slids (literally) without any explanations in class. He talks in the same tone and never stops reading during the whole class. It's true that he's deaf. Can't hear himeself.
