Comment:
Don't take his class if you want to learn stats. You basically sit in the classroom and watch his mouth open and close. He talks about concepts and proofs that you will never understand. The examples are not effective at all. I learned absolutely nothing from his class. All the things I have learned about stats are by textbook and online videos.

He does mediocre in explaining concepts but has very bad handwriting. A student would need to follow what he is saying to understand what he writes on the board. He answers questions in class with a level of impatience. His grading criteria is straightforward.

I would never take Stanley's class ever again. He is a nice person, but gives terrible lectures, and no idea what is going to be tested. The test is extremely hard and he grades the test really harsh. No Matter What, DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!

Awful teacher, he makes things much more difficult than what they need to be and gives ridiculous tests. The homework he gave in calc 1 was graduate level work and some of the aids couldn't even solve them. In calc 2 over the summer he wasn't helpful and I had to learn all the material outside of class.

Avoid Class. Try to get out if possible. All he does is prove his proofs with pseudo proofs.

Lord Stanley is the man. I completely understand the world after taking this class. He made me a better man out of his insanity. That being said, I learned absolutely nothing about statistics from him. Must take him before graduating Lehigh though.

The man is a legend. Everyone has heard of Lee Stanley and to avoid his class at all costs. His class was more difficult than it had to be and students are constantly left with a feeling of uncertainty. This being said, I did learn a lot from his madness and he pushed me to think in new and creative ways.

Prof Stanley can be frustrating at times. He is hell-bent on solving an example once he puts it on the board, even if there is an error in his notes that he will waste 10 minutes of class trying to find. He's not a bad guy, but you need to be prepared to do things his way. The book accurately breaks down what he's trying to say.

I came into this class with prior knowledge of calculus but yet he made things difficult. He believes that the only way to teach is by using the precise definition of math. Also after introducing a new concept he'll give you a hard exampl and make many algebra mistakes which confuses you. I had to put in a lot of extra time in order to do well

You can have a degree in Mathematics and still not understand the homework he gives. I would know, my TA did not know how to help with 3 homework assignments. He is the worst teacher alive.

I just had him for Calc 2 for summer session and he wasn't bad! I thought he was going to be terrible from reading so many negative comments here, but he's a really nice guy. He's not easy, but he wants everyone to do well. Just do all the work and study before the tests and you'll do fine in his class.

I honestly knew the material but Stanley makes it so hard that it is almost impossible to pass. My understanding did not represent the grade I got. He honestly should not be allowed to teach. Don't take a class with him cause even if you do pass his class chances are it will lower your gpa even though you knew the material. Avoid at all costs.

Incomprehensibly complex. I never knew what he was saying. He makes at least 10 mathematical errors per class and switches numbers all the time. He always thinks he's right, but he's not. I don't understand how he is the head of the math department. I would never recommend him as a teacher.

Terrible teacher. Gets angry at questions students ask, is uncomfortable to be around , and is for lack of a better word, awkward. calc2 is a class where you need an approachable teacher, and he absolutely is not one. Definitely not recommended.

Seriously worst math teacher I've ever had. I knew the subject material from high school, but he found a way to beat it out of me. Confusing as hell. Wouldn't recommend to my enemies.

Overly compelx, too-wordy explanations of simple problems, lots of proofs. Do the homework problems to learn instead.
